Oh Good 164

    Chapter 164

“It helps to see it from the perspective of heirs surpassing their fathers. Obviously, Dane isn’t my father, but he did take on that parental role in my life. I know both you and Sebastian are proud of your sons for their achievements and for defeating you on the leaderboard. You don’t resent them for it, and you probably threw a party in your pack to celebrate when they came home and told you they’d pushed your names off the leaderboard.”

“Sure did,” both James and Sebastian say. I nod, recognizing the truth of what Ezra has said.

“Anyone else?” Alpha James asks, looking at the others.

“I’m thankful it wasn’t me up there with Ezra,” Tyler says. “Damn, that was tough.”

“It was good insight, Ezra,” Liam says. “I hadn’t made that

connection, but it makes perfect sense.”

“Are you good?” Ezra asks me and I nod.

“You did well, Christina,” Alpha James says. “That was tough. ss dismissed, everyone.”

I take a deep breath and grab my things. As I turn to walk out, Sebastian opens his arms. I don’t hesitate. I walk into them and let the feel of his strong armsfort and steady me.

After her rough day in ss, I decided to let Christina have control of our time in the evening. I thought having physical control might help her to feel in control of her emotions again. However, something is shifting in our time together. Yes, the exploration is still there and fun as hell. I’m enjoying every minute of our teasing and pleasing, but the instructor/assistant, the Alpha/partner feel is going away. We’re still two adults enjoying thepany of the other, but since we’re both Alphas, there’s a give and take of control. It’s something I’ve never had in a rtionship before.

We started with her having control, which I enjoy more than I ever thought I would. But then we switched, giving me control. We went back and forth for several hours, both giving and taking control and enjoying how we can bring each other the pleasure we both seem to crave.

Before she left my roomst night, I asked her if she wanted a jogging partner this morning. I actually have no intention of jogging. This is my way of teasing her and in some ways, it’s yet another fantasy that I hope she’s willing to y out with me.

She had agreed, so this morning, I’m up and in my running clothes, ready to meet Christina. I watch as Ezra and Tyler take off together and I wonder if she usually runs with them. I’m guessing she does. The three of them have be very close as evidenced by Ezra being able to talk to Christina yesterday. It had been good for her, and I can see her rebuilding her strength. She was already an incredible woman, but now … she’s going to be spectacr.

In the early morning hours, it’s very quiet out here. Peaceful. You can hear the nocturnal animals in the forest moving around, getting ready for sleep while the others are just waking up. But

other than that, there’s only the rhythmic sound of our feet on the pavement as we run.

“Is there something on your mind, Sebastian?” Christina asks as we begin jogging on the trail.

“Yes. How did you know?” I ask her.

“It’s been three weeks, and this is the first time I’ve seen you out here jogging,” she says, smiling at me.

“I jog, just not first thing in the morning. Lately, my body has felt too good in the morning for me to rush out of bed,” I say, smiling at her.

“I know that feeling well,” she says. “So, what’s on your mind?”

    “Practice,” I tell her.

She frowns. “What kind of practice?”

“The kind where you are quiet,” I say, watching her.

She turns her head to look at me. “When did you want to practice?”

“Now,” I say, grinning at her.

I see excitement sh in her eyes, followed closely by the challenge.

    “Out here?”

I nod. “It’s very quiet, so any sound you make would echo in the morning stillness. With Ezra and Tyler out here, it would be easy for them to hear you, especially Ezra since his heightened sense

“Where?” she asks, and I catch the scent of her arousal. Perfect.

I take her hand and pull her off the trail into the forested tree line hearby. It puts us in shadow, unable to be seen from the trail, but close enough that if she makes any sound at all as the others pass by, they’ll easily be able to hear her.

“Shall we y?” I growl softly.

“You’ll have to be quiet too, Sebastian,” she breathes.
