“After the first week, there will be curtains between each of the tables. If you are doing what you should be doing, you’ll be focusing on your partner and not what everyone else is doing. This is part of the trust that you need to build with them. I would suggest that you spend as much time out of ss as your partner will allow building that trust,” Alpha Sebastian says. I already knew this.


    I can see the wheels in Ezra’s head turning. “That’s why you and Alpha Christina get together every night?”


    “Absolutely.”


    The others had been talking about the two of them having an affair, much like Alpha James and Sylvie, but I knew it wasn’t that. If you pay attention, you can see that Alpha Sebastian and Alpha Christina aren’t asfortable together as Alpha James and Luna Sylvie are.


    Ezra turns and looks at me, the realization that Haley was in my bedroomst night building trust finally dawns on him. He didn’t give me a hard time about it like the others did this morning, but I can tell he doesn’t like the knowledge that I’m already ahead of him in earning trust with my partner. He’s definitely going to be toughpetition.

There are thirty other points that can be obtained in that ss: Number one in sparring, first toplete the Beast in human form, and first toplete the Beast in wolf form. Obviously, those are only for the best or first to achieve the goal.”


    No one has any questions about those points.


    “The sensory ss also has forty points avable all for the best: best in sight, best in hearing, best in smell, and overall best in sensory.


    “So, you can win twice in that ss?” Ezra asks, making notes of where and how he can get points.


    “No. You’re either best in one sense or you are best overall. There are only six of you, so these should be rtively easy points to obtain.”


    I look around, wondering who the other scent person is in our ss. I hope it’s not Christina, although that would give me a good challenge.


    “What’s your heightened sense?” Noah asks, leaning over to whisper.


    “Scent.”


    “Me too,” he says, and I smile. I’ve got those ten points in the bag.


    “There are ten points for the person who is top in the Communication


    ructors, ten points for being ss as determined by your top in Managing the Pack, which is instructor and test determined, and ten points for being top in Dealing with Crisis which is instructor determined.<i>” </i>


    I look over the list of points I’d written down.


    “That’s only seventeen, Alpha,” I say and Ezra <i>nods</i>.


    “You said there were neen,” he adds.


    “That’s correct. One is rarely given, but it does happen. There are ten points if someone actually has to and appropriately deals with a crisis during their time in the Academy. And the final ten points are for the first person who earns a point from every assistant.”


    “Individual points?” Logan asks.


    “Yes. You will be using what you learn in your sses during your interactions with each other with your instructors, and with the assistants. It is at all of our discretion to give you individual points. To go back to your previous question, Alpha Noah, you do not have to earn any points in any ss to pass the Academy if you earn them individually. It’s a lot harder that way, but many young Alphas have passed the Academy by earning individual tokens.”


    “How do we earn them?” Ezra asks.


    “By being good Alphas,” Alpha James says cryptically before turning to the assistants. “Ladies, c

    “Being polite.”


    “Going out of their way to assist with something.


    “Listening.”


    One by one, Luna Sylvie, Luna Mia, Christina, and Laura all give examples of reasons they’ve given points.


    “So, it’s objective. It’s anything YOU deem worthy of giving a token for?” Ezra rifies
