The first visitors to the house were the suppliers, most of the medical disposable supplies came from thispany. When they heard there was a chairman, they took advantage of the New Year toe and pay
a visit.
When it came to business, Francesca took the lead speaking while Chris sat drinking tea.
Within half an hour, they had sent the visitors off. Francesca had already drunk two cups of tea, and
Chris hurriedly poured her another.
Francesca sighed. “This is much harder than before. It’s really on ‘hard mode.“”
“That’s what makes it challenging,” said Jessica, resting her chin on her hand and smiling at Francesca.” If you think about it, you’re the one now in charge of all business at the Summit Infirmary. The initiative is in your hands. You’re the one who can send Chris behind bars, no one can frame you. Does that make you feel a little better?”
Francesca fell silent.
Chris was silent too.
It did feel a little better, but not much.
Francesca wiped her mouth and nced at the notes on her phone. “There should be two morepaniesing tomorrow, both about the uing IPO. One at two in the afternoon, the other at
three. I scheduled the times separately.”
Chris asked, “So you have to wait at home all day?”
“Not really. I just have toe back on time. They won’t take long–about twenty minutes each. Everything will be done by four in the afternoon.”
Jessica thought for a moment. “Keep your schedule open after the fourth day of the new year.”
Francesca looked at her.
She said, “I want to take our chairman on a honeymoon–from the fourth to the tenth of January. You arrange what you can, handle meetings you can do alone, and leave the rest for after we return to work.”
“Okay,” Francesca said without hesitation, crossing out all the tasks in her notebook. “For the happiness
and harmony of the two employers lives, I’ll bear the burden.”
Chris was rendered speechless.
After discussing a few more things, Francesca hurried home.
Only then did Chris ask, “Do you have enough time? Work starts again on the eighth. Is it okay to be off
work until the tenth?”
Jessica leaned back, lying fully against the sofa. “I employ so many people in mypany–aren’t they supposed to cover for me at crucial moments? I pay them so much, surely they can manage for just three days, right?”
If Shannon heard this, she would definitely scold her.
Chris didn’t mind.
This was their missed honeymoon. Actually, he was looking forward to it too, to have a trip alone with Jessica. He needed to n it well.
He went inside to make ns while Jessica took out her phone to check messages.
Since morning, Michael had sent many texts, all asking if he coulde to the Wilder family’s residence
to pay New Year respects to Linda, and to meet Jessica. His tone was somewhat aggrieved, like he was
Michael. “I’m already at the door, yet you didn’t even see me. Is Mr. Green unhappy? From now on, if I want to see you, do I have to go through Mr. Green?”
Jessica would be a fool if she didn’t know what Michael was on about.
Jessica. “There are people at home recently, and my mother… You shouldeter. I leave on the fourth
and won’t return until the tenth. We can talk after I’m back.”
Michael. “You’re traveling during the New Year too? It must be so lonely. I’lle with you.”
Jessica. “It’s a business trip. It’s not good for you to interfere. Besides, you should settle things with Jason
first.”
Since he wanted to use Jason against her, she would use Jason against Michael as well.
Michael. “Jessica, listen to me. There really is a conflict in Jason’s schedule. I’ll have it solved
immediately and won’t cause you any dys.”
