Chapter 169
Shannon and Francesca stood at the door talking.
They heard the two people inside both getting excited and not daring to look at the results.
Shannon rolled her eyes, pushed open the door, and came in, snatching the document from Chris’s hand.
“If you don’t want to look, I will.”
“Alright, you can look at the results,” Chris said with relief. “You can just tell us what’s written on the
results.”
Francesca wore a faint smile on her face.
Her smile was always formal and polished in public, but a bit softer in private.
Perhaps the experience of imprisonment had made Francesca more calm andposed than in earlier
years.
One could tell she had been through many storms.
Shannon didn’t hesitate at all and opened the file.
The series of biological test exnations were technical and hard to understand, but at the bottom under kinship rtions, it clearly stated that Collin and the hair sample donor Mandy were indeed siblings.
Shannon flipped the page and handed it to them, saying, “We can get Mr. Phillips to treat us now!”
Jessica and Chris exchanged a nce and both breathed a sigh of relief.
Jessica squeezed Chris’s hand so tightly it almost hurt, but he didn’t react and only said, “Finding family in one’s lifetime is a good thing.”
And the person closest to Chris was this woman right in front of him.
Jessica was eager to call Collin with the good news, but Chris thought that Collin would be too excited to drive safely.
If something happened on the road, it would be very unlucky for the Summit Infirmary.
It was better to invite Collin and Jaden over for dinner.
After all, he had nothing else to do after finishing surgery today and could go home to cook.
He had been too busy recently to cook, and also wanted to make it up to Jessica.
Jessica nodded quickly and went out to call Collin.
“All settled then. I should get going. Francesca, remember to bring the the Summit Infirmary financial reports to the Wilder Group. The audit starts the day after tomorrow. Has the new medicine from Wind Pharmaceuticals arrived?”
Francesca said, “The first batch arrives the day after tomorrow. Quite a few people have already made reservations. ording to the order, the first hundred on the list can use the new drug.”
“Be very careful. It’s a new drug after all, and we can’t be sure yet.”
Shannon thought for a moment and reminded Francesca, “Try not to let that Dr. Wood get his hands on it. His background isn’t very clean. Captain Felton is already monitoring his parents.”
“Okay.”
Collin didn’t live at the Phillips family’s residence but at the Golden Mansion.
The Phillips family’s residence couldn’t be sold and was just left there.
There were still some rtives living inside who couldn’t be forced out.
He didn’t want to be ruthless–giving them a ce to live was fine.
The Golden Mansion was a property that thete Sir Hall had bought for Jaden’s mother years ago.
To get along smoothly, Collin also bought a house nearby as well.
In reality, the two of them lived together.
The two of them were both very courteous people.
When visiting, they never came empty–handed and brought two bottles of red wine.
“Red wine in the country hasn’t been very goodtely. This is what I brought back from abroad. I hope
you’ll like it,” said Collin, cing the bottles on the kitchen ind.
Chris, holding a spat in one hand, came out to take a look.
He had recently been taking wine sses with Jessica and knew a little about it.
“Perfect timing. We’ll open them tonight. You can drink some too. Today is a good day.” Chris teased mysteriously.
Collin and Jaden exchanged confused looks.
Jessica, having removed her makeup, wore simple andfortable home clothes, tied up her hair, and came out from the bedroom.
“That’s right, today is a huge day. Drink up. We can open both bottles!”
