Chapter 124
Chris led a group of interns out from several wards and stood in the hospital corridor talking to them, emphasizing which aspects to pay attention to.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Michael walk across the far end of the corridor again, and he instinctively furrowed his brows.
Hadn’t Michael already left?
Why was he appearing in the hospital again?
“Mr. Green?” one of them called out when they noticed Chris seemed a bit distracted.
“We will closely monitor the first 24 hours after surgery. Is there anything else we need to watch for?”
Coming back to his senses, Chris shook his head.
“Only two of you in this batch of interns will stay in the hospital. The final decision power does not rest with me, but with your mentors. Your evaluations will be determined by them. That’s all have to say. If you need to revise your thesis, you should hurry.”
With that said, he put one hand in his pocket, handed a sheet of paper to a nurse, then turned and chased after Michael.
There were still quite a few people in the hospital corridor, and through the crowd he could only see a blurry figure, which seemed like Michael but not exactly. The feeling grew clearer the closer he got.
Finally, when Chris stopped about a meter behind the person, he realized it wasn’t Michael.
It was just a simr figure. If he wasn’t mistaken, this person was luke, Michael’s cousin. He was also a controlling figure in two other Hall familypanies in simple terms, Michael’s biggest rival right now.
Why was he in the hospital?
–
Could this matter be rted to Luke?
Just as he wanted to catch up, his wrist was suddenly grabbed hard by someone else.
He was startled and about to resist, but the other person shushed him.
“Roy?”
Looking carefully, the one holding him was Roy.
Chris stopped struggling, and Roy pointed toward the person’s back and asked, “Is that Michael?”
Chris shook his head.
“From the back, it looks like Michael, but I know Michael’s appearance too well. This person should be Luke. Do you know him?”
Roy paused for a moment, then immediately remembered Michael’s cousin.
“How did hee to the hospital? Is this the floor where Joseph’s ward is?”
“That’s right, and he’s heading toward Joseph’s ward, but there a people inside and out, so even if he’s here, he can’t get close.”
News of Joseph’s hospitalization was tightly sealed, but there’s no wall without cracks, especially with a celebrity involved.
From the day Joseph was hospitalized, there were many disguised us and media downstairs and even on the same floor.
However, the hospital prioritized patient privacy, so even if they get inside, they couldn’t get near Joseph’s ward.
“My colleague is already asking Joseph for a statement. I heard his lungs are severely damaged, so he might speak slowly. Will this dy his future filming? Nina told me he has many projects this year, and if he can’t join the crews on time, he might have to pay arge penalty.‘
Chris returned to his office with Roy and only then spoke.
“From a doctor’s perspective, I suggest he rest for a year before resuming work, otherwise, the damage to his body will be significant. It might not be obvious now, but in 10 years, it will be.
Roy frowned upon hearing this, clearly more annoyed.
“Of course, I know for artists like them, resting a year is basically quitting the industry. We need to create a recovery n for him next week to see how long it will take to return to his career. My suggestion is not to rush things.”
