The next day.
Just as dawn was breaking.
Tara was sleeping soundly in the car when she heard the door open. First climbed in.

“What time is it?” Tara asked, still half–asleep.
“Not even five.”

Tara paused, raising her wrist to check the time. Her beautiful eyes showed a hint of surprise. “You talked all
night?”
First nodded again, surprised himself that the conversation hadsted this long.
Tara sat up, looked out the window, stretched, and yawned. She couldn’t help but mutter, “What do two old
guys have to talk about? It’s not like you’re discussing romance.‘
Then she nced at First, “Where to next?”
She had been ying chauffeur for him these past few days!
First rxed, his eyebrows raised slightly, “Home, to catch up on sleep.”
Upon hearing this, Tara’s eyes lit up. She nodded repeatedly, “Yes, you need to catch up on sleep. You’re still growing, and you can’t do that without proper rest!” With that, she moved to the driver’s seat and started the
car to head back.
Meanwhile, First found afortable position, crossed his arms, and nned to take a nap on the way.
“Did you get all the answers?” Tara asked.
Speaking of which, First opened his eyes. He had originally intended to ask Hugo about the truth, but Hugo was too sharp. Any slight misstep could reveal his identity, so in the end, he didn’t ask.
First shook his head, “I didn’t ask!”
“Why not? Wasn’t that the whole point of meeting him?”

“You can investigate the truth, but asking directly… it’s too risky and might expose who I am,” First exined
“Did he suspect you?” Tara asked, immediately on alert.
“No, he didn’t,” First shook his head.
Tara finally rxed.
But then First added, “But he did suspect you…”
Tara was taken aback, “What…?”
“Did you tell him about me?” Tara asked.
“Of course not, do you think I’m that kind of person?” First retorted.
Tara gave him a sideways nce, “So what did you talk about?”
“He told me to stay away from you.”
“Damn!” Tara couldn’t help but curse. Hugo was definitely trying to stir
up trouble!
He wanted her to stay away, probably to have her all to himself!
“No way!”
Turning her head, Tara Green looked at First and questioned, “You’re not going to leave the Dark Web just because of your connection with Hugo, are you?”
“Probably… not,” First hesitated.
“Drop the ‘probably’!” Tara warned, her eyes wide and intense.

Seeing her about to explode, First couldn’t help but smile, “Alright, alright, I won’t!”
But Tara still eyed him with suspicion.
“Hey, focus on driving safely,” First reminded.

“Safe? You’re worried about safety? Let me tell you, First, if you leave the Dark Web, no one will be safe!”
Tara said, exasperated.
“I was just joking. I won’t abandon the Dark Web,” First assured.
“Really?”
First nodded, “Really.”
“But what if Hugo finds out who you are and forces you to leave?” Tara asked.
“The decision is mine, not his,” First said confidently.
Since childhood, Scarlett Adler had given him the freedom to make his own choices, so his decisions were
always firm.
He understood clearly that only he could be responsible for his own life.
Seeing that First wasn’t trying to </ifort her, Tara Green pondered for a moment before speaking, “If the Dark Web finds out about your rtionship, have you thought about how to handle it?”
First shook his head. “It’s definitely tricky, but Hugo Hodges is gradually retiring from the ‘scene‘ now, so it shouldn’t be too hard to manage,” First replied.
Tara looked worried, contemting for a long time before speaking again, “First, there’s something I need to

“What is it?”
“Do you know why the Dark Web and Hugo Hodges have a grudge?”
“Why?”
“It’s not actually the Dark Web, but Homer Finch.”
“Homer Finch?” First frowned.
Homer Finch was one of the key members of the Dark Web, but he was often out on missions and rarely appeared in the chat room. First had interacted with him a couple of times, and they had gotten along quite well. Despite Homer Finch’s seemingly carefree attitude, he was a person who valued loyalty deeply.
However, he really had no idea what connection he had with Hugo. He hadn’t heard anything about it!
Tara thought for a moment and said, “I’m not entirely sure about the details. I just heard a snippet from someone on the Dark Web. Apparently, Homer had a fiancée who was on a mission abroad a few years ago. Everything was going smoothly until something happened, and she ended up being killed by Hugo. They were very much in love, and after she died, Homer was in a slump for a long time. When he finally pulled himself together, he vowed to do whatever it takes to kill Hugo for revenge.”
First listened, frowning deeply. “Is Hugo their mission target?”
Tara shook her head. “That’s the thing. Hugo wasn’t their mission target, but somehow he got involved. I heard it was pretty gruesome back then…”
“That’s a blood feud!” First said.
“Exactly, and you know how skilled Homer is. No one he’s targeted has ever escaped him, except for Hugo. Over the years, they’ve shed countless times, both openly and in secret, but there’s never been a

resolution. But no resolution doesn’t mean there’s no hatred. This is something that will definitely have an
ending…” Tara said.
Green nced at First, thinking perhaps the opportunityy with him.
But what the oue would be, no one could predict.
If Homer Finch discovered their connection…
Tara Green couldn’t even imagine it. She couldn’t guarantee that Homer wouldn’t take it out on First.
First suddenly felt wide awake. If it were a rivalry or something else, he was confident he could handle it. But
this was a deep–seated grudge…
It was a real headache.
“Have you talked to Homer Finch about this?”
“I was in Italy at the time. I only found out about it six monthster. When I saw Homer Finch again, he seemed like apletely different person–reckless and unrestrained. I mentioned his fiancée’s name, and he went berserk. It took several people and a sedative to calm him down,” Tara Green recalled, looking visibly
shaken.
First listened, furrowing his brow. Although he hadn’t witnessed it himself, knowing Homer Finch, anything that could drive him to madness must be deeply significant.
This matter wouldn’t be easily resolved,
“And then?” First asked.
“And then he woke up again, acting like nothing happened, carefree and wild. But ever since then, Hugo Hodges and his fiancée’s name became taboo on the Dark Web,” Tara said, ncing at Alex. “I’m telling you

about your rtionship!”
But can such a thing be kept secret for long?
