Chapter 33 Fourth was bullied.
Even East Hayes, who was lying on the bed, frowned, looking at Scarlett Adler with surprise.
“So, Ms. Adler, you’re the hidden richdy?” Ethan Underwood asked, his eyes wide like saucers.
“You wouldn’t happen to have a crush…” Brent Carter didn’t finish his sentence, but his meaning was clear.
East also looked at Scarlett, his eyes flickering with curiosity.
“You’ve mistaken me for someone else,” Scarlett said to the doctor.
The doctor, unaware of what had transpired between them, simply smiled. “Youngdy, you underestimate a
doctor’s memory.”
“Indeed, you’ve mistaken me.” After saying that, she didn’t wait for them to say anything else. “I have things to

I’ll be leaving now.” With that, she left.

In the hospital room, everyone looked at each other in disbelief.
The doctor didn’t think much of it. “Alright, if there are no other issues, I’ll continue my rounds.”
“Doctor,” East called out to him.
“Is there another problem?”
“Are you sure she was the one who paid for my surgery?”
“She said you asked her to pay on your behalf. Is there an issue?” the doctor asked in return.
East Hayes shook his head after a long pause. “No, that’s all…”
The doctor continued his rounds.
An indescribable atmosphere filled the room.

“Does Ms. Adler like East Hayes’s type?” Brent Carter couldn’t help but ask.
Ethan Underwood also looked at East Hayes, then couldn’t help but sigh, “Ms. Adler is great in every way,
except her taste isn’t the best…”
Scarlett Adler didn’t want to do good deeds anonymously, but she didn’t want to create too much
unnecessary trouble.

After leaving the hospital, Scarlett Adler hailed a taxi straight home.
However, as soon as she left, the three little ones arrived.

The hospital was crowded with people, making the three children particrly conspicuous. Everyone who
passed by couldn’t help but stare.
First Adler checked his phone for a moment, then put it away. “I found it, he’s on the fourth floor. The three of
us together are too noticeable, we need to split up.”
“Okay,” Second Adler nodded.
“Then you guys go first, I’ll goter,” Scarlett Adler said.
“Alright, don’t wander around here,” First Adler instructed.
“Don’t worry, it’s not my first time going out,” Fourth Adler said with a reassuring smile.
First Adler looked at Second, and the two of them headed inside.
Fourth Adler, feeling a bit bored at the entrance, wandered around. Just then, a couple hurried past,
seemingly not noticing Fourth Adler, and bumped into her, causing her to fall to the ground.
Seeing this, the couple nced at Fourth Adler and said, “Whose kid is this? Not watching them properly,
running around and bumping into people.”
bumped into me. I was standing here, not moving.”

“You, how can such a young child tell such tant lies? You really have no manners at all,” the woman said
disdainfully.

Hearing that word, Fourth Adler got angry. “My mommy says that manners are for certain people. You don’t
need to have manners for people who don’t have them. Madam, you bumped into me, please apologize.”
“Apologize? To you? Little kid, are you mistaken? You were running around and bumped into me. I haven’t
even asked you to pay for it. How are your parents raising you? Such a young child, learning to be so rude.”
With that, the woman turned to leave.
“So how did your parents teach you? Just because I’m young, you think you can twist the truth after hitting a
child? Is that how you n to raise your own kids?” Fourth Adler challenged her fearlessly.
Her resilience mirrored that of Scarlett Adler.
The woman seemed to have been struck where it hurt, her face darkening. “If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll
smack you on the head.”
“You wouldn’t dare!” Fourth Adler had never been hit before.
The woman, losing face, raised her hand to strike.
“Stop.”
A steady voice rang out from behind.
Fourth Adler turned around, her eyes lighting up when she saw Hugo Hodges standing there. “Handsome
uncle!” she eximed, running straight toward him.
Hugo Hodges caught her easily, lifting her into his arms. “Are you alright? Did anything happen to you?”
“Uncle, someone was bullying me,” Fourth Adler said, feigning pitifulness.
Hugo Hodges’ eyes instantly clouded with anger as he walked toward the couple.
“In broad daylight, you’re going to hit a child?” Hugo Hodges questioned, his gaze sending chills down their
spines.
“Who are you?” the couple asked, looking at Hugo Hodges. Seeing his expensive clothes and distinguished
appearance, their confidence wavered.
Before Hugo Hodges could speak, Fourth Adler wrapped her arms around his neck and snuggled close,
dering, “He’s my daddy.”
Hugo Hodges was taken aback, pletely unexpected her to say that. He looked at Fourth Adler, and in that
moment, it felt like she really was his daughter.
“Didn’t you say I have no manners? Didn’t you want to hit me? You can try, but my daddy isn’t anyone special.
He’s just the ordinary president of the Hodges Family Group,” Fourth Adler said.
The couple might not have recognized Hugo Hodges, but they must have heard of the Hodges Family Group’s
reputation. In Port City, everyone knew about them.
Immediately, the couple’s faces darkened.
“You little brat, you really know how to talk nonsense. You bumped into me and won’t admit it, and now you’re
just being unreasonable,” the woman said, ncing at her with a guilty look.
Hugo Hodges snapped back to reality and nced at the nearby security camera. “Luckily, there’s a security
camera nearby. If what you’re saying is true, then I’ll have my daughter apologize and give youpensation.
But if you’re lying, then I’ll take my own measures,” Hugo Hodges said.
Hearing that, the woman quickly nced around and noticed several cameras pointed in their direction.
The man, more aware of the situation, immediately spoke up, “Mr. Hodges, we apologize. It was our fault.
Please, have mercy…
Hugo Hodges ignored him, focusing his attention on the woman.
The man understood immediately, tugging at the woman’s sleeve, signaling her to apologize.
Finally, the woman reluctantly lowered her head, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.”
“Not to me, to my daughter,” Hugo Hodges corrected.
Despite her resentment, the woman looked at Fourth Adler and said, “I’m sorry.”
“I can’t hear you,” Fourth Adler said proudly, lifting her chin.
Hugo Hodges looked at her yful expression, his eyes filled with love.
The woman, losing face, repeated, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.”
Fourth Adler finally nodded, “Alright, since you’ve apologized, I forgive you. After all, I have better manners
than you and won’t push you too hard.”
??????? ??
The woman was speechless.
Despite her frustration, she had to swallow her anger.

After apologizing and seeing that Hugo Hodges didn’t intend to pursue the matter further, she quickly fled the
scene.
At that moment, Hugo Hodges looked at Fourth and said, “You little rascal, don’t you even know what fear is?”
