At first, she really had thought that way.

    His sudden lunge toward her only gave her the opening she needed.


    Lily seized the moment and threw him over her shoulder in a clean, sharp move.

    For the moment, he truly had no way of handling her.


    She hadn’t expected him to be so weak now.

    Julian’s face flushed from his neck to the tips of his ears.
