Even if she had to leave, Judy didn’t want to owe him anything.
She still needed to handle the aftermath properly.
With that in mind, she nced at Brian from the corner of her eye
He still hadn’t let up, staring at her with that nk, unmoving gaz.
Judy was growing impatient. She couldn’t help but raise her voice. Are you just going to keep staring at me like that?
“Don’t you have anything else to do?”
At her words, Brian actually looked a little hurt.
He lowered his head slightly and mumbled, “Right now, watching you is my most important task.
“Judy, you don’t understand how much I love you. I can’t leave you I can’t bear the thought of you leaving.”
Judy rolled her eyes internally..
There was no w
she could believe a wording out of his mouth.
Not to mention, he wasn’t even good–look.just average, with e on his face that made her feel queasy.
And she had far more important things to take care of. She didn’t have time to waste on Brian’s endless drama.
It was aplete waste of time.
She frowned and said, “I already gave you my word, so I’ll follow through. But standing here watching me isn’t helping. You should go do your own work.”
Hearing this, Brian’s expression turned slightly dangerous.
“So, you’re trying to get rid of me?”
He suddenlyughed. “I may like you, but I’m not stupid. I know exactly what I’m doing. But even if I love you, I won’t lose my sense of boundaries.
“You’d better be honest and take care of canceling the trip abroad. Then we’ll find a ce and start a good life together.”
At that, Judy started trembling with rage,
The thought of living with this man made her vision go ck.
She nced at the clock beneath theputer screen, anxiety rising in her chest.
What if Keh didn’t pick up on her message?
She couldn’t possibly let Brian have his way.
What would happen to the rest of her life then?
“Why don’t you calm down a bit and we talk this through properly”
Judy raised a hand to pinch the bridge of her nose, irritation building steadily inside her.
She never expected someone she trusted so closely to turn
It genuinely caught her off guard.
Everything had seemed fine before. In fact, she had to admit that is man had worn his mask extremely well.
Not even a hint had slipped through.
But now, the sudden outburst left herpletely unprepared.
Her mind was racing, frantically trying toe up with a solution.
Sitting back and doing nothing just wasn’t her style.
Brian, however, was growing more agitated. He red at Judy and began closing in on her, cing both hands on either side of
her chair.
“Let’s talk?”
Brian let out a coldugh. “What is there to talk about between us?
“I know exactly what I’m doing. And even if it’s wrong, I’d willingly go to hell for you.”
Judy looked at the crazed expression on his face. Deep down, she was afraid, but she still tried to reason with him.
That way, neither side would have to suffer real consequences.
But this man wouldn’t listen to reason at all. He waspletely irrational.
“I never asked you to do any of this!”
Judy said firmly, “Everything you did was your own choice. Don’t you dare dump your one–sided obsession onto me.”
Her tone was turning sharper by the second.
