Brian looked at Judy, her face glowing with satisfaction.
It was obvious she had juste out of an intimate encounter.
They were all adults here. Anyone with sense could figure it out.
There was no need to say it out loud.
If anything, saying too much would only make it sound annoying.
Even so, Brian still didn’t know how to bring it up.
After all, he was just Judy’s subordinate.
But watching her go off to another country with that man, he couldn’t ept it without saying
a word.
Judy saw Brian standing there, clearly hesitant, and her good mood instantly soured.
Whatever goodwill she’d once had toward him was quickly running out.
“Do you have something to say?”
Judy spoke impatiently, “If not, then step out. I still have things to deal with.”
Brian’s eyes widened and he looked up sharply, clearly not expecting Judy to be so cold.
Not long ago, she was still willing to talk to him.
And now, she couldn’t even spare him a nce?
“Miss Judy, I do have something to say.”
Brian hesitated for a moment but still decided to speak up.
He couldn’t bear to watch her throw herself away like this.
This wasn’t the Judy he used to know.
The reason he followed her in the first ce was because she was bold, full of drive, and willing to take risks.
She might not have been the smartest, but she had guts, and that meant she had a future worth betting on.
But now, all she did was fall into a man’s embrace day after day.
It felt like she’d been seduced and blinded by songe male temptress.
Thinking of that, Brian sighed, looking visibly disheartened.
Seeing this, Judy lost thest of her patience.
She waved her hand dismissively. “From the look of you, there’s probably nothing important you need to say. Just go for now.”
“I’m tired too. Don’t disturb me anymore.”
“No!”
Before Judy could finish, Brian cut in with a sharp objection.
The look in his eyes was full of frustration.
Bloodshot and intense, he stared at her as if he’d been deeply wronged.
Judy instinctively swallowed, her eyes flicking toward the door.
It was shut tight.
Clearly, Brian had other thoughts in mind.
But what exactly those were, she didn’t dare assume.
“If you have something to say, then say it calmly.”
Judy forced a small smile. “Look, we’re still in the studio. You’ve got a bright future ahead of you–there’s no need to be this fixated.”
But Brian took a step closer.
He ced a hand over his heart and spoke with emotion. “Miss Judy–no, Judy–I really do like you.
“Can’t you see me? I’ve been by your side for so long, watching you grow from nothing to everything you are now.
“That’s why we’re the best partners, aren’t we?‘
Judy’s eyes widened.
She had imagined many things, but she never expected Brian to actually have feelings for her.
She had assumed it was just her own misunderstanding.
But now, faced with Brian’s raw passion and grievance, she truly didn’t know how to respond.
Judy gave an awkward, strained smile. “Brian, I think you really need to calm down.”
“I am calm!”
Brian snapped loudly in reply.
When it came to Judy, he had always responded to her without fail.
Judy took a deep breath and reminded herself inwardly to stayposed.
