Besides, the most pressing matter now was still taking down Walton Corporation.
Aurora was back–if he didn’t seize the opportunity now, it would only be more impossibleter.
It was exactly because of this that Joseph knew he couldn’t afford to rx.
He sent a message to Judy, exining his current condition.
His goal was simple–to get her toe take care of him.
That way, he could recover faster.
Judy was busy managing things at the studio.
She had already made up her mind to move abroad with Keh and had no intention of continuing her career locally.
Overseas, she would have a bigger stage and wouldn’t be confined to such a small ce.
She knew very well that her growth in Ravenshore would always be limited.
She had majored in fashion design in college, and now, she was finally living her dream.
So, Judy didn’t hesitate.
But when she saw Joseph’s message, a flicker of uncertainty did cross her mind.
She nced around the studio–there were so many things that needed to be packed and transferred.
There was no way she could leave right now.
Keh walked over and gently wrapped his arm around her waist, his voice soft. “What’s wrong, Judy? You look tense.”
Judy didn’t hide anything from him anymore.
She flipped her phone around and showed him the screen. “I’m just hesitating about this.
“How can I find time to go take care of him in the hospital? I’m already swamped with everything here at the studio.”
Judy knew her energy was limited.
If she gave it to Joseph, then she’d have less to put into the studio.
Now that she was leaving, she had to make clean decisive choices–no more hesitating.
Dragging things out wouldn’t do anyone any gool.
Keh read the message, thought for a moment, then said, “Just tell him you can’t make it.
“And about Walton Corporation, I’d really advise you not to get any ideas. You’re not prepared for what’s behind that.”
Keh had already noticed–Lucas‘ attention was entirely on Aurora now.
Now that Aurora had regained her footing, there was no doubt that Lucas was behind it all.
That much was certain.
If they kept pushing this any further, it would be pure arrogance.
Judy looked at Keh, his words still echoing in her mind.
But she couldn’t help feeling a bit stunned.
Ever since opening her own studio, her perspective had changed.
She now understood clearly which people were best avoided and which circles were far beyond their reach.
Seeing the seriousness in Keh’s expression, she knew this wasn’t something simple.
Judy took a deep breath and decided to listen.
“So, you mean, Lucas‘ identity…”
She didn’t finish the sentence.
Some things didn’t need to be said–Keh would understand.
Under her thoughtful gaze, Keh gave a solemn nod.
“Even if you, Joseph, and I were all on the same side, it still wouldn’t be enough to matter to Lucas.”
His answer was firm.
He knew full well what his own family was capable of.
The only reason Lucas hadn’t crushed them already was out of respect for years of friendship.
Otherwise, Keh was well aware that if Lucas wanted to wipe out the Shaws family, it would be as effortless as eating or drinking.
