Jason lit up inside–who would’ve thought that stopping a madwoman could earn him a raise.

If all good deeds came with rewards like this, he wouldn’t mind a few more.

But right now, the most pressing issue was still Julian.

“Madam Grace, are we really just going to let this go? The Hayes family’s attitude was far too much.”

He spoke from the driver’s seat, his tone full of righteous anger.

He truly couldn’t stand that family.

They were clearly in the wrong, and yet that lunatic Carol acted as if they were the ones being wronged.

    Honestly, they had no shame.

Grace nced calmly at him, noting how genuinely upset he was.

In the end, she offered a reassuring reply.

“Enough. Don’t think too much about it. Just focus on driving. As for what happens next, I’ll wait for that old man from the Hayes family to give me a proper exnation.”

A sharp glint shed in her eyes.

She was determined to see what his next move would be

His son was already in that state, and he still refused to let go.

It had to be said–his stubbornness was impressive.

    And his wife? Completely irrational.

    Grace saw it all clearly.

If that old man kept letting things spiral out of control, it wouldn’t end well for anyone in that family.

Eventually, it would lead to disaster.

Tessa leaned gently against Grace’s shoulder and softly said not to worry too much about her–that her health mattered more.

Feeling the weight on her shoulder, Grace’s heart warmed.

With such a thoughtful daughter, what more could she possibly ask for?

Grace patted Tessa’s hand. “Sweetheart, don’t be afraid As long as I’m here, I won’t let anyone from the Hayes family bully you.

“Every single one of them–they’re not getting away with it.”

Tessa nodded, touched, her voice slightly choked. “Thank you, Mom. With you by my side, I always feel at ease. You’re so good to me.”

“Of course I am. You’re my daughter. If I’m not good to you, who else would I be good to?”

Grace sighed. “You two are both my precious girls–the people I love most in this world. I really do hope the two of you can get along and stay close. But if…”

She didn’t finish the sentence, knowing Tessa would understand what she meant.

Up front, Jason kept driving with a clear understanding of everything.

He knew exactly what the chairwoman was implying.

There had definitely been tension between the two.

Back when Grace was hospitalized, he’d already sensed it.

    Tessa was no easy character.

Only Grace still saw her as a treasure.

But this time, there did seem to be a shift in her personality.

Still, Jason had his doubts. Was it real, or was she just putting on a show?

If it was an act, then he had to admit that her patience was impressive.

Deep down, though, Jason genuinely hoped that Tessa and Aurora could live in peace.

That way, Grace wouldn’t have to carry so much stress.

And everyone else could get along better too.

There would be plenty of time to cross paths in the future–so why waste energy shing over something so temporary?

Jason dutifully drove the two of them home.
