Leonard spoke up. “Don’t worry, Aurora. Everyone here will do everything possible to help.

Hearing that, Aurora feltforted.
What he said made a lot of sense.
She nodded, letting him know she understood. “Thank you. Don’t worry. All of this makes sense to me<b>.</b>”
The two of them exchanged a smile.
There was nothing more to it than that. It was just a perfectly normal gesture.
Lucas might not have liked it, but he didn’t say anything.
This was part of Aurora’s normal social circle.
He couldn’t possibly interfere with that.
If he did, he’d really be overstepping.
Megan also sensed the strange tension in the room.
If it continued like this, the awkwardness might be unbearable.
But she quickly changed the subject.
She looked at Aurora, who was already fully dressed, and said in surprise, “Aurora, why are you dressed like you’re heading out?”

Wasn’t it normal to wear a hospital gown in the room?

This outfit made Megan feel like Aurora was about to head out the door any second.

As her best friend, anything she said would carry more weight.
