Just as young Aurora lifted her foot to move, the crack in the floor widened sharply.


    She was standing right at the center of the danger zone.


    The very next second, the ground beneath her began to copse, leaving her no time to react.


    The four other students tried to rush forward, but the ground around them also started to give way.


    It was only then that they realized how serious the situation was.


    “Why is this happening? Why is the floor suddenly breaking apart?”


    “Help! I’m still so young, I don’t want to die!”


    “I haven’t even lived yet–what is going on? Is anyoneing to save us?”


    Aurora’s side was even more dangerous. Just as she opened her mouth to speak, the ground beneath her feetpletely gave out.


    In an instant, she vanished from the others‘ view.


    The copse was rapid, and she plunged straight down into the darkness.


    Meanwhile, things outside were no better.


    A torrential downpour had begun.


    The sky was pitch ck, and it felt like everything had changed in the blink of an eye.


    At the exact moment young Aurora fell, Megan’s heart jolted violently.


    She shot to her feet and rushed to the window.


    But her view waspletely obscured by the rain–she couldn’t see a thing.


    Her ssmates watched, concerned that something might be wrong with her mentally.


    “Megan, are you okay? Why did you suddenly rush over like that?”


    “It’s pouring outside–don’t even think about going out. It’s just not possible right now.”


    Hearing those words, Megan looked even more shaken, like something in her mind had snapped.


    “Where is she? Where’s Aurora?”


    “What’s going on with the auditorium? Does anyone know anything?”


    Her voice cracked with emotion, trembling on the edge of tears.


    No one had ever seen her like this before.


    And now, it was painfully clear to everyone just how much Aurora meant to Megan.


    Most people had always assumed their friendship was superficial.


    After all, they were both from wealthy families–how could there not be a hint of pretension?

    “Maybe your friend is still safe, just hiding inside the auditorium.”
