    She clearly wasn’t in any condition to take charge, and as for Tessa Grace knew exactly what her daughter was or wasn’t capable of.


    The most important thing was that the only people she could truly rely on were her own.


    That <b>was </b>what mattered most.


    Grace didn’t want to see her daughter suffer, nor did she want to watch thepany copse.


    So, in the end, she could only choose one.


    And clearly, Grace chose thepany.


    Judy urged Joseph impatiently. “Are you done yet?”


    “Judy, just give me a second, I’ll be quick.”


    Joseph gritted his teeth and moved faster, trying to finish their rushed encounter.


    There was no pleasure for either of them this time


    especially not for Judy–it was like she waspleting a task.


    It was obvious how fed up she was.


    Judy hadn’t wanted it to be like this either, buttely, Joseph had been moving too slowly.


    With Hunt Enterprises and Walton Corporation locked in such fiercepetition<b>, </b>she couldn’t believe Joseph still hadn’t made any real progress.

    “Joseph, look where we are now. Still sneaking around like this every day. Even if you don’t think about me, at least think about our future.”


    Judy gritted her teeth and held his head tightly, urging him to hurry up.


    Joseph clenched his jaw and pushed harder, her words weighing <b>on </b>him.


    She was right. Things weren’t good for them. Everything had to be done in secret.


    Worse still, his parents still didn’t approve of his rtionship with Judy.


    The thought alone gave Joseph a splitting headache.


    He really didn’t understand why his parents had to be so stubborn


    Judy had changed <i>so </i>much–she could make her own money now and didn’t even rely on him for anything.


    Sometimes at night, she even let him do whatever he wanted withoutint.


    How could he possibly give up a woman like that?


    But Joseph still couldn’t understand why his family was so firmly against his rtionship with Judy.


    Judy had made real progress, but somehow, they still didn’t like her.


    As time went on, Joseph stopped bringing it up altogether.


    He still depended on his family, and saying too much would only put him in a difficult position.


    But if he said nothing, Judy would be the one left feeling wronged.


    That was exactly why the issue kept bothering him.

    Days had passed, and every time Judy asked about it, Joseph gave her vague, half–hearted answers.

    Then his face lit up with delight.


    “Judy, are you serious right now?”


    Judy was already impatient, but she still forced a bright smile. “Of cours, i’m serious. <b>It’s </b>not like this is our first time. What are you so worried about?”


    “N–no, I’m not.”


    He stammered through the words, looking genuinely flustered.
