“You should get out.”

“Call a cab. Get back on your own. Get out now.”
His words stunned her. She had no idea what had suddenly changed.
How could someone shift so quickly, without warning?
“But we’re in the middle of nowhere,” she said, voice turning soft and wounded. “Where am I supposed to go?”
“I just want to check on Aurora. I’m not going there to cause drama. I won’t say anything out of line,<b>” </b>she added quickly, eyes wide with pleading innocence.
Lucas hesitated again.
As much as he hated to admit it, she wasn’t wrong.
They really were out in the middle of the road, and it would be hard for her to find a ride.
And after all, she was Keh’s little sister.
Kicking her out like this didn’t sit entirely right.
He ran through the possibilities in his mind, weighing the oue.
Finally, he gave in. “Fine. You cane with me. But the second Aurora shows any difort<b>, </b>any at all, you leave. Immediately.”
“Of course. You can count on me, Lukey,” she said sweetly<b>, </b>clenching her fists even as she smiled.
It didn’t matter.
As long as she couldy eyes on that bitch and see what kind of state she was in now, it was worth it.
