Chapter 465

Hearing that, Joseph gave up on trying to make Judy stay.

In fact, he felt a tiny flutter of joy.

He hadn’t expected her to be seriously thinking about their future

“Alright then, go on with your work. I’m heading to the office too, he said.

The moment she heard that, Judy left in a hurry, not even pausing to look back.

Joseph, meanwhile, kept sighing to himself.

Judy had just started a studio, so she was naturally busy and barely making profit.

But the truth was, Judy had already visited quite a few ces on Joseph’s dime.

Back then, her studio hadn’t even been set up yet, and all she wanted to do was travel around a bit.

And by the time she came back, she’d opened a studio–something even she hadn’t fully nned for.

But looking back now, the biggest surprise wasn’t the studio.

    It was Joseph.

Once Judy left, Joseph got dressed and headed to the office.

At first, the receptionist didn’t recognize him.

It wasn’t until she heard someone greet him as “Mr. Hunt” that she finally realized who he was.

“Mr. Hunt, which floor are you heading to?” she asked politely.

Without even lifting his head, Joseph replied, “It’s alright, I’ll take it from here.”

Hearing that, the receptionist could only return to her desk, reluctant and a little regretful.

What a shame–Joseph looked incredible when he dressed up like this.

Most days, he didn’t care about his appearance at all.

This was the first time she’d ever seen this polished side of him.

“Lukey, try this one, it’s really good.”

Lucas kept his facepletely impassive while Wendy beamed and tried to ce food on his te

He froze mid–movement, his fork suspended in the air, eyes fixed on that piece of meat.

His lips were pressed tightly together. He honestly didn’t know how to respond.

Should he throw it out? That might be too harsh–it could hurt her pride.

    But Lucas was a germophobe.

He couldn’t stand eating food picked up by another woman’s fork.

Wendy was still urging him, “Come on, eat, Lukey. Don’t be so polite with me.”

Lucas looked at her radiant smile and couldn’t help the flicker of irritation inside him.

He spoke up directly. “I’m not going to be polite with you. Besides I’m the one treating today. If I’m hosting, how could I

    possibly act reserved?”

Wendy smiled even more brightly and, without using the shared utensils, reached out to ce some food into Lucas‘ te.

This time, Lucas’s patience wore thin.

“Enough. Just eat your own food,” he said.

Wendy frowned. “What’s wrong, Lukey? I was just trying to share something tasty with you. Why are you being so harsh?”

Seeing her like that, the veins at Lucas‘ temple twitched.

He was right on the edge of losing his temper.

“Just eat and behave,” he snapped.

    Wendy’s eyes glinted.

Taking advantage of Lucas‘ momentary distraction, she quickly took a few photos of them eating together.

Lucas kept ncing at his phone, waiting for a message from Aurora.

He had asked her what she was having for lunch, but so much time had passed and she still hadn’t replied.

It puzzled him, so he kept checking, hoping to hear from her.

Wendy, on the other hand, pushed her luck. She suddenly snatched his phone. “Lukey, we’re out having fun. Why are you glued to your phone?”
