As luck would have it, just as she turned around, she spotted a man walking beside Lucas, speaking rapidly about something.
Lucas remained expressionless the entire time,pletely indifferent, letting the man beside him chatter on and on.
Seeing this, something suddenly clicked in Aurora’s mind.
This wasn’t a business negotiation at all.
Judging by Lucas‘ demeanor, it was obvious people wereing to him with proposals, not the other way around.

Aurora pressed her lips together, a glimmer shing across her eyes.

With that thought, she picked up her pace and followed after them.

His heart skipped a beat.

going to give me this time? Today isn’t the fifteenth.”
Lucas cleared his throat twice<b>. </b>“Come on, I wasn’t making excuses before. I was being serious every time.”
‘Aurora, if you say that, you’re breaking my heart.”
But she saw right through him. “Don’t even try. I’ve figured it out. Just tell me what’s really going on this time–no more
games.”
Desmond, who had been standing nearby, could barely hold back augh. He hadn’t expected their no–nonsense CEO to be like
this in front of his wife<b>. </b>
The thought alone almost made him burst outughing.
