After Joseph finished speaking, Judy fell silent
She didn’t say another word.

Joseph had taken an interest in Seafront Construction.

His assistant gave him a full rundown of everything he’d managed to dig up over the past few days
“Yes. Word is, she appears to get along well with Aurora <b>Walton </b>on the surface, but when she first joined thepany, the first thing she asked about was any projects that involved the Waltons she wanted to be in charge of those
“Plus, a lot of projects she’s now handling were originally poached from Walton Corporation. Thatpany has been a direct <b>rival </b>of the Waltons for quite a while now.”
As Joseph listened closely, his eyes lit up.
Wendy was exactly the kind of person he’d been looking for.
<b>And </b>with thepany being such a good fit, he genuinely felt like she was heaven–sent.
“Get in touch with Wendy Shaws. I want everything you can find on her.”
The assistant nodded. “Got it. No problem.”
Once the assistant left the room, Joseph finally dropped his <b>fa?ade</b>,
His gaze turned cold and vicious as he stared into the distance.
Since Aurora <b>had </b>chosen to y dirty, she couldn’t me him for doing the same.
Back at <b>Walton </b>Corporation, Aurora couldn’t shake the lingering difort from that moming’s encounter.

Still a little concerned, Lucy asked, “Is it because of what happened this morning?”
“How did you know about that?” Aurora looked a little surprised.
But a momentter, she figured it out.
After all, it happened right at thepany entrance.
They were all in the same department–there was no way people wouldn’t find out.

She hadn’t nned on bringing it up, but since people in the office were already talking, there was no point pretending

Then Aurora smiled wryly. “There’s nothing you can do about it. Abad rtionship is like a permanent record–it follows you around for life.
“Especially when the guy sticks to you like some kind of leech. No matter what you do, you just can’t shake him off. So yeah, there’s not much I can do.”
Lucy looked at her rxed, carefree demeanor and felt a twinge of envy.
“It’s okay. Men like that<i>? </i>We don’t need them. No point getting upset over trash”
Aurora nced at Lucy’s serious expression, then reached out and gave her soft check a yful pinch
Seeing her stunned face made it all the more amusing.
