Wendy stared at him in disbelief, her face full of shock.

Anyone could see that he was waiting for Aurora’s reply.

These things were never of much use anyway–as long as the CEO could be kept happy, they’d all benefit in the end.
Even while reviewing documents, Lucas kept an eye on his phone watching for any sign of a reply.
But by the time noon rolled around, there was still nothing from Aurora.

“Has your general manager left for lunch yet?” Lucas asked.
