    Cecilia shifted ufortably under her gaze, “What is it?”


    Sophia asked softly, “When will you pick Gwendolyn up?”


    Cecilia frowned. Sophia and Luciano were just dating, and she couldn’t stand Gwendolyn already?


    “Sophia, Gwendolyn is Luciano’s biological son. If you can’t handle it, I think you should break up with Luciano now.”

    Sophia got a bit annoyed. “In your mind, am I that awful?”


    As she spoke, Sophia felt embarrassed herself. Having Cecilia take Gwendolyn away did make her seem like a wicked stepmother.


    She wasn’t against epting the child, but simply wished for a smooth engagement and wedding.


    “I’m getting engaged next Saturday. Hope you can make it.”


    Once Veronica voiced her little misgivings, she felt much better.
