Mentioning Bonnie made Cecilia’s heart ache even more.
Bonnie was their shared grandmother. With Prisci gone, it was only natural for her to take care of Bonnie.
If she hadn’t assumed Prisci’s identity, she wouldn’t have even been able to enter the Wilburn family home.
She had no choice.
Dillon lowered his head, pleading. “It’s all my fault, I admit it. I’ll go to Baritel and beg her forgiveness. This time, you have to help me.”
“I won’t help.” Cecilia refused coldly.
“Prisci stopped acknowledging parents like you long ago. Whatever happens to the Wilburn family has nothing to do with her, or with me.”
She no longer looked at Dillon and walked away.
Dillon was filled with regret.
Of course, what he regretted was not his neglect as a father, but that he hadn’t built a good rtionship with Cecilia earlier.
And then there was Bonnie.
Thinking of this, he felt a surge of resentment toward Larissa.
She knew perfectly well how important Bonnie was, yet she insisted on provoking her.
Was he really going to just stand by and watch the business he had

Cecilia was nothing but a heartless ingrate.

Two dayster, as usual, Cecilia woke up at the hospital and then went to see Noah.
Noah was in good spirits today and even came downstairs to greet her.
“Noah.” Cecilia waved and hurried over.
Noah ran toward her, but his foot caught on something, and he tumbled down the steps.
“Noah!” Cecilia screamed, rushing forward to scoop up his small body.
Noah’s face was pale, his eyes tightly shut.
The doctors arrived quickly and rushed Noah into the emergency
room.
Cecilia’s eyes were swollen and red, her whole body trembling.
“Ci.” Wesley hurried over and pulled her into his arms.
“Wesley, Noah fell. He’s covered in blood.” Cecilia clung to his clothes as if grasping a lifeline. “Wesley, please save him.”
She was sobbing uncontrobly.
Bonnie had just passed away, she couldn’t lose Noah too.
Wesley tried to calm her as she was on the verge of breaking down. “He hasn’te out yet because the stem cell engraftment is going well. He’s undergoing a transnt surgery. Don’t worry.”

Cecilia’s eyes were misty with tears. “Surgery?”
She was so consumed by guilt and grief that she hadn’t even realized Noah was undergoing a transnt.
“Yes.”
That affirmation did nothing to ease Cecilia’s anxiety.
She only grew more worried.
Wesley swayed a little, steadying himself against the wall.
Elijah quickly said, “Mr. Carlton, you should rest for a while. The ovtion–stimting injections are so long, and you’re allergic to the medication. If you don’t rest, your body won’t hold up.”
Cecilia snapped out of it and immediately helped Wesley to sit down.
Looking at his obviously pale face, she felt a pang of guilt.
He was already showing great kindness by being willing to save Noah.
She shouldn’t be too harsh on him.

Thinking this, her heart softened a little.
She didn’t notice the meaningful look Wesley gave Elijah.
Elijah coughed discreetly. “Mr. Carlton’s health hasn’t been goodtely, but he’s still insisted on the ovtion stimtion to save someone. Ms. Zamora, please take good care of him.”
Cecilia felt even more/guilty.
She knew all this, but her heart was still in knots.
Luciano arrived, and the adults waited together outside.

A few hourster, the doctor came out to announce the surgery was a
sess.
But Noah would still need to stay in the sterile room for a few days for observation.
No matter what, they had passed the first hurdle.
Cecilia wept tears of joy.
Wesley stood not far away, Elijah’s report sounding in his car.
“Our people found a few ss marbles on the steps.”
“We checked the surveince footage. It was a child who dropped them. Following the trail, we traced it to… Mr. ude.”
Wesley’s face darkened.
ude?
Elijah asked, “Should we question Mr. ude?”
“No need. Just call the police.“,
Wesley gave the order without any expression.
If the ss marbles were connected to ude, then his real target wasn’t Noah, but Cecilia.
Cecilia was pregnant. If she had fallen, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
ude had never let go of his hatred for Cecilia.
He was too impatient and wanted revenge,
But he was limited in what he could do.

Wesley would never allow such a ticking time bomb, capable of hurting Cecilia, to remain here.
Cecilia wanted to stay at the hospital, but both Wesley and Luciano refused to let her.
“You’re pregnant, you can’t stay up all night,” Wesley advised.
Luciano added, “Go home and rest. I’ll stay here. If anything happens, I’ll call you.”
As they were speaking, footsteps suddenly echoed in the hallway.
