    Wesley caught his breath.

So she really was angry about that incident.

“There were a lot of people at the time, Larissa… she really did just take the wrong ss,” Wesley exined again.

Prisci didn’t want to hear any more exnations. In Wesley’s eyes, Larissa was never at fault.

She lowered her eyes, her tone calm. “I don’t have time to argue with you. I’m going to the Wilburn’s mansion to find Bonnie now. You’re busy, I don’t need you to take me.”

Wesley said nothing, just pulled her by the wrist and led her to the car.

    The Wilburn’s mansion.

Tania stood in Bonnie’s room with her hands on her hips, shrieking, “He’s your son! Are you really going to let him go to prison?”

Bonnie sat on the edge of the bed, quietly watching her daughter–in-w lose her temper.

Because Prisci hade specially to tell her about this, she was mentally prepared and remained very calm.

    “He brought this on himself.”

Dillon was already in his forties or fifties. Didn’t he know what he should and shouldn’t do?

He even bullied a sick child. If word got out, it would be a disgrace to

    the Wilburn family.

Tania was furious. She couldn’t believe Bonnie could say something so… cold and heartless.

“Yes, he was a bit muddle–headed, but he did it for this family. Besides, the child is fine now, isn’t he? Are you really going to ignore your own son’s life for the sake of an outsider?”

Bonnie was angry. “The child is fine because he’s lucky and blessed. Besides, he’s my grandson too–how is he an outsider?”

“Grandson? He and Prisci aren’t even rted by blood,” Tania said, growing even angrier.

That wretched Prisci, for the sake of some wild child from who knows where, was actually going to send her own father to prison.

She must be out of her mind.

Bonnie’s expression changed abruptly. She propped herself up with her cane and stood. “What did you say?”

Tania said coldly, “I said that wild child has nothing to do with Prisci. The DNA test results are out…”

She suddenly stopped, staring at Bonnie in disbelief. “You knew about this all along.”

Prisci had always lived with her grandmother. Whether she had been pregnant or given birth, her grandmother would know. But before this…

Tania gasped. What exactly were they nning?

“Mom, that wild child… I don’t know why you and Prisci treasure him so much, but I have to get Dillon out. If you won’t agree, don’t

    me me for being ruthless.”

Bonnie trembled as she sat back down. Did the whole Wilburn family know that Noah wasn’t Ci’s child?

    What else did they know?

    She felt deeply uneasy.

As for Tania’s threats, she paid them no mind.

A servant rushed in, flustered. “Madam, Ms. Prisci is here.”

Because of what happened yesterday, Tania had scolded the servants, telling them to be alert at all times and to report immediately if Prisci arrived.

“And Mr. Carlton is with her,” the servant added.

Tania’s mind raced. “Go call Larissa and tell her toe back.”

    The servant hurried off.

Prisci was already walking quickly over. Seeing that Bonnie was all right, she finally felt relieved. /

“Ci.” Bonnie reached out, her eyes brimming with tears.

Prisci quickly grabbed her hand. Bonnie’s hand was icy cold and trembling slightly.

    Prisci was startled.

What had Tania said to Bonnie?

    “Grandma.”

    Bonnie shook her head.

She meant for Prisci not to say anything.

Watching the interaction between grandmother and granddaughter, Tania felt utterly chilled.

They were colluding to destroy this family.

And to think she and her husband had taken them in to enjoy a good life.

Two ungrateful wolves, one old and one young.

But right now, saving Dillon was the priority.

She suppressed her resentment and softened her tone. “Prisci, your father knows he was wrong. Please forgive him this time. You know thepany can’t function without him, and our family still depends on him.”

As she spoke, she squeezed out a couple of tears. “Mom, I know I spoke harshly before, but I was just anxious. I never really meant to hurt you. You understand how I feel, don’t you?”

Prisci and Bonnie both ignored her.

Tania felt both embarrassed and angry.

She knew that saying anything more would only make her look worse, so she left with a dark expression.

Prisci looked at Wesley. “Can you leave us for a moment? I need to talk to Grandma.”

    Wesley nodded and left.

Bonnie let out a long sigh, tears falling from the corners of her eyes. “Ci, why didn’t you tell Grandma that Dillon and the others already know you and Noah aren’t rted by blood?”

    Prisci was stunned. “They know?”
