Because Frank had recognized Larissa as his granddaughter, Dillon had finally calmed down. He hade to the hospital this time just to tell Bonnie about it.
After all, Larissa was still stronger than Prisci.
Perhaps even heaven wanted him to show off, for the door with ess control was actually open.
But what did he see?
The high and mighty Frank was actually bowing and scraping to his own elderly mother, even going out of his way to please
her.
In his memory, his own mother was just an ordinary woman, gentle and virtuous.
Did Frank have his eye on her?
For a moment, his feelings were mixed. He couldn’t figure out what kind of luck the Wilburn family had recently. Three generations of women in the family were now connected to the Carlton family.
After watching quietly for a while, he left quietly.
It wasn’t until he saw Frank leave that he entered the ward.
He got straight to the point. “Mom, do you know Sir Carlton of the Carlton family?”

Bonnie knew her son’s thoughts all too well, so she refused to answer directly and simply said, “What are you here for?”
Dillon was rebuffed, but he wasn’t in a hurry. He just told her about Larissa being recognized as the Carlton family’s daughter, his words tinged with pride.
“Larissa has won Sir Carlton’s favor. Our Wilburn family is rising with the tide.”
Bonnie was displeased by what she heard. “The
granddaughter Sir Carlton wants to recognize isn’t Larissa. He won’t like Larissa.”
She really wished her son would wake up from his daydream
soon.
Dillon muttered under his breath, “How could he not like her?”
“Dillon, Larissa’s temperament is not steady enough. You’d better advise her to make things clear with the Carlton family,” Bonnie urged.
“Why can’t it be me?”
Larissa burst in from the doorway, her eyes red and full of grievance. “I’m your granddaughter too. Can’t you hope for the best for me?”
Tania was even more displeased with Bonnie. After all, Larissa had been recognized as Frank’s granddaughter and was publicly announced by Wesley as his sister, warning everyone not to bully her. What an honor that was.
And yet, the old woman said Larissa wasn’t good enough.
If Larissa wasn’t good enough, did that mean Prisci was?

Chapter115
What a joke.
Dillon scolded his wife and daughter. “Is that how you speak to your elders?”
Tania and Larissa were both startled, not understanding why Dillon’s attitude toward Bonnie had changed.
After all, he had always had plenty ofints about Bonnie before.
Larissa bit her lip. Today was an especially important day for her. Her mind was unsettled, and she had to get a clear
answer.
“Grandma, why can’t it be me? Do you think I’m not as good as Prisci? But the one Frank recognized is me. Prisci isn’t as good as I am.”
There was a hint of pride and disdain in her tone.
Bonnie looked at her spirited expression and said coldly, “From the start, the Carlton family wanted to recognize Ci.”
Larissa’s expression froze. “What?”
Dillon was shocked. So it was Prisci?
Tania’s expression didn’t change, as if she had known all along.
Bonnie’s words were sharp, giving Larissa no face. “What others don’t want, you treat as if it’s the most important thing in the world.”
Larissa was humiliated, her eyes brimming with tears.

How could this be?
How could it be something Prisci didn’t want?

Tania saw her daughter’s distress and quickly pulled her away, whispering, “It was your good fortune to begin with.”
Larissa’s eyes reddened with sadness. “Yes…”
“Wes told me about this in advance. It was all arranged. I didn’t tell you because I wanted to surprise you.” Tania affectionately pinched her daughter’s cheek.
“Frank is already half–buried in the ground. Who he likes doesn’t matter. What matters is who Wes values and
protects.”
“When I advised you to run away from the marriage back then, it was for today. Don’t be foolish.”
One of the reasons Larissa ran away from her wedding was because she had fallen for another man; the other reason was
Tania.
From the very beginning, Tania never seemed particrly satisfied with Wesley as a prospective son–inw, feeling that he was too career–driven and that her daughter would end up being wronged.
He would make a good brother, though.
Now, it seemed that wish hade true.
“Don’t always feel so wronged,” Tania said lovingly to her daughter, willing to reason with her. “As long as you live well, those who look down on you will regret it sooner orter.”
