His name was Miles Warren. He wasn’t really awyer–he was one of Jessica’s business partners. He’d even pretended to be awork technician that day.

    Anneliese gave him a thumbs–up.

Under her dazzling gaze, Miles‘ ears turned a little racd. He coughed lightly.

“You think she’ll actually agree to this?”

Anneliese’s lips curved faintly, her tone certain. “She will.”

Melody wasn’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. After getting a proper scare, she was probably panicking over the thought of her son walking away with nothing or having half his assets taken.

Moreover, Melody had never liked her as a daughter–inw. She always believed her son deserved someone better. A real high–society heiress. The kind worth billions. So, giving Anneliese 500 million? Melody could live with that.

Zacharias had betrayed her–Anneliese was determined to let him taste what it felt like to be stabbed in the back by someone he trusted most.

Seeing how confident she was, Miles raised his brows in amusement.

“Well then, cheers to your freedom, Annie.”

Anneliese’s smile widened. She raised her hand and gave him a high–five.

Just then, the elevator doors opened onto the first floor. As they stepped out, they almost bumped into Jonathan and arge group trailing behind him.

This time, it wasn’t just two people following him–there were several more.

Anneliese immediately noticed one man carrying a Nexa drone, another holding aptop, and two doctors in white coats. One of the doctors was carrying a blood transport cooler.

The group moved quickly, tension thick in the air. People in the lobby instinctively stepped aside to let them through.

Anneliese also moved to one side, her eyes briefly locking with Jonathan’s.

His sharp, cool gaze slid past her without pause as he entered the elevator, the others close

    behind.

“What’s going on? That guy up front gives off serious boss energy… Annie?”

Miles called her back to reality. She blinked and followed him outside.

They were almost to the parking lot when a wave of reporters came running in the opposite direction, heading toward the hospital’s inpatient wing.

“Can we confirm the drone is going tounch from the inpatient wing?”

“Get the livestream ready–we’re already trending. We need to break this story first!”

“Has anyone been assigned to interview Mr. Fullbuster yet?”

Anneliese stopped in her tracks and turned toward the inpatient building. She pulled out her phone and opened the trending topics.

    ‘AeroAir Involved in Onboard Incident.‘

‘Pregnant Passenger Rushed to Hospital After In–Flight Injury.‘

    ‘AeroAir Issues Official Statement.‘

‘Race Against Time: Emergency Drone Delivers Life–Saving Blood.’

The top few trending topics all had a “Breaking” tag next to them.

It was clearly a flight incident involving AeroAir, which was short for Aerolux Airways.

Aerolux Airways was a fully owned subsidiary of Fullbuster Group. Jonathan was the CEO of AeroAir.

    “Annie?”

Miles had already opened the car door, but noticed she hadn’t caught up. He called out to her.

“Miles, go ahead without me. I’ve got something I need to take care of.”

    Anneliese looked up.

With that, she turned and ran back toward the hospital.

As the elevator climbed, she quickly read through the trending topics and pieced together what had happened.

A pregnant woman,te in her term, had suffered an emotional breakdown duringnding.

When a flight attendant tried to calm her down, things turned physical.

She fell, began bleeding heavily, and was rushed to the nearest hospital.

Theplication? She had Rh–negative blood. Her life was hanging by a thread. And this hospital was the only one in aton with a supply.

A travel blogger on the same flight had captured the entire thing on video. It went viral in minutes.

Aerolux Airways had responded quickly, posting an official statement on their website.

They were dispatching blood via drone from this hospital and had granted the media full ess to follow the emergency rescue operation.

Anneliese made it to the rooftop but was stopped at the door. The press was being held back as well, though their cameras were already rolling.

She stood on tiptoe, trying to see what was going on in the center of the rooftop.

“Mr. Fullbuster, the blood is secured and ready to go. We’re clear forunch at any time.

“The ambnce is twenty minutes out from St. Aurora Medical Center. They’ve prepped the OR. We can start the transfusion as soon as she arrives–but the bleeding’s out of control. If the sma doesn’t get there within thirty minutes, she won’t make it.”

Zion, phone in hand, reported directly to Jonathan.

Jonathan’s eyes were fixed on the nearbyptop screen. At the update, he looked up toward the drone not far away.

“When will the senior technicians from Nexa Tech get here?”

“We’ve been pinging them nonstop, but there’s a massive jam on Pinecrest Avenue. They’re stuck in traffic. I’m worried…‘
