“What trouble you?” Hunter asked, he watched how Lc didn’t really enjoy her meal. “Do you want to


    eat something else?” This pack was Lc’s former pack, Hunter was not sure what she felt about


    stayed here for a little bit longer. “Something is bothering you in the


    orphanage?”


    Hunter stretched out his hand and caressed her cheek. She looked so beautiful and a little bit chubbier


    due to her pregnancy, but he really liked it, because Lc used to be very skinny and pale when she


    arrived at his pack in the beginning.


    “Nothing.” Lc had told him about her encounter with Aria and in fact, it didn’t really bother her. She

    thinking the cruelest way possible, but knowing his mate, Lc wouldn’t agree with his action, thus he


    changed his n ordingly.


    “What do you mean?” Lc frowned. She didn’t understand, but Hunter simply chuckled and stood up.


    “Come I will show you something interesting.” He stretched out his hand for her to take. “I am not sure


    whether this will make you feel better or not, but I hope this will soothe your disappointment and


    misery.”


    “What is it?” Lc took his hand and followed him out, where Hunter took her to alpha James’s study


    room and witnessed everything from the distance. “What is happening?”


    Right before her eyes, alpha James and luna Jasmine engaged in a heated argument, while Ruby was


    sitting on the floor, looked miserable and pitiful, as the other pack member stared at the whole situation


    with a mixed feeling and expression.

    That was when Lc witnessed the thing that she thought alpha James would never capable of doing.


    The second harsh pnded on luna Jasmine’s cheek again and this effectively shut her up, where


    she was trembling in fear, because the look on alpha James was very terrifying. He stared at her with


    so much hatred, as if he was looking at his sworn enemy, instead of his


    mate.


    Even the people around them lowered their head, afraid they would breathe too hard and make the


    situation worst. They intertwined their fingers and tried not to make a peep.


    Meanwhile, Ruby was at lost too, because she didn’t think the situation would escte this fast, but


    deep down, she felt this happiness that spread in her veins, where she could feel her heart was beating


    so fast to see how distraught and humiliated luna Jasmine was. This was something that she wanted


    for her.
