    Lc was not sure how she could his life and in what way. How could six years old her managed to

    very young.” Lc narrowed her eyes and Hunter took her hand, this time, she didn’t protest, neither


    she pulled away from him. “What did I do? Did I jump between you and a monster to save your life?”


    Hunterughed when he heard that and teased her. “You are not that bold, Lc. You would have been


    the first person, who would run away if you were in that situation.”


    Lc pursed her l*ps when she heard that. “Thank you, for being very honest.” She followed him out of


    the pack house, as they walked in the garden again. “Then, what did I do that could make you smitten


    like this?” She raised her brows, prompted him to answer her question.


    “For the record, I am not smitten, I just keep my promise to make you my woman, that’s it.” Hunter


    shrugged his shoulders, but it was clear that he was teasing her again.


    Lc took a deep breath. “I feel like I have been running for miles, whenever I am talking with you. Fine.


    I don’t need the answer.


    Lc was very upset, she couldn’t imagine how could this man managed to put her on the edge of her


    patient. She determined not to speak to him again for her own sanity, more so, there were a lot of


    things to think about after what he revealed to her about her parents, or her father to be precise.

    Lc turned her head, she blinked her eyes, this man always surprised her. When she thought he


    wouldn’t say anything about what happened in the past, he started to tell the story.


    “I was ying near the forest when someone dragged me to the side and poisoned me. The poison


    was not fatal, but it left me paralyzed.” Hunter smiled at Lc, which made her frowned, not understand


    his smile. “The thing is, they wanted to make it look like it was an ident.”


    “I don’t get it.” Lc said in small voice, forgetting her determination not to ask anything to him again.


    “How can save your life? Did I fight those people? Cured you?” Thetter didn’t make sense because


    she was not a healer and she knew nothing about herbs and anything alike.

    changed, even after years had passed, she was always that sweet little girl that had saved his life.

    looked adorable to stare at him with her eyes wide opened. “You pulled me from the water, you saw

    smiled and it looked very genuine. “You are very smart.”


    “How?” Lc seemed to get the idea of what she might do to help him, but she wanted to know the


    detail of it.


    “Normally, you will go to the pack house and ask for someone toe and help, but if you did that, I


    would have longed dead, because there is no way I will be able to hold my breath for that long.” Hunter
