Chapter 9

Lc was too shock from what she had done to Hunter to even move away from there. She bit her l*ps,

staring at how fast his wounds healed, but she would be in a great trouble, if he demanded a

consequence for her action earlier. After all, there was so much blood on his shirt and on the ground for

him to im that he was being attacked by her

After all, his blood also was still on the tip of her nails. It was easy enough to tell, she was the one, who

had attacked him and with that, the main purpose of this party for the peace treaty that they finally

reached would crumble into nothing, as they would be in war with each other again, brought back so

    many casualties from both parties.

The thought dreaded Lc so much, she felt like she was having a hard time to breath.

On the other hand, the sight of Lc was hyperventting made Hunter frowned. “Are you, okay?” He

approached Lc, who started to tear up. It should be him, who was beingforted, not the other way

around, since it was him, who was being attacked, but why she was the one, who was crying? “Hey,

    what happened?”

Lc felt her knees became so weak, her mind was a wreck of emotions, since she couldn’t contain her

    grievances anymore.

“What is wrong with you? It’s me, who was being hurt, okay.” Hunter squatted down in front of Leah

and the sight of her crying like this confused him, since he had never coaxed a crying girl before. “What

    are you crying for?

However, what Lc felt right now was a mix of emotions of fear and desperation. Her emotion and

feeling had been on tatter ever since she came out of her bedroom, but right now, she waspletely

    unable to control herself.

Everything came crushing down at her at the same time. She felt all of her resentment and anger came

to her without mercy, her heart bled again. She had been trying to keep her emotions at bay because

Aria and luna Jasmine used toe often to check on her, thus she felt even worst when she saw their

sad expression. They shouldn’t be troubled with her emotion.

“Gosh! I don’t know what to do with you.” Hunter ran his fingers through his hairs in frustration and then

he only remembered one gesture to calm someone down when they were crying. Someone did this to

him once in the past and it felt good.

    Original from N?velDrama.Org.

Therefore, with limited knowledge about how to calm Lc down, he did it, though it was a little bit

embarrassing to say the least, but in the end, he was the one, who brought this to himself.

He pulled her closer into a warm embarrassed, which stunned Lc, because she had never been

hugged by any men, aside from Aiden. Lc could feel his big and hot palm on her back, caressing her.

This embrace was so different from the one she felt from Aiden, it was veryforting and even more

because their bodies were built very differently.

While Aiden had a rather lean b*dy, Hunter’s big b*dy felt like he was going to engulf her and this gave

a sense offort and protection at the same time, something that Lc shouldn’t feel from another

man, but her own mate, but then, the thought of Aiden gave the samefort to another woman and

even had done the deed with her, made her less guilty.

There there..” Hunter patted her back and when he heard her cries ceased down, he continued,

assuming this method was working instead of thinking that Lc was currently too stunned to cry.

The night was still lively, but in this dark corner of the alley, they felt the world had be very quiet

and the only thing they could hear was their own heartbeat. They were so close and Hunter didn’t let

her go. even when Lc hadpletely stopped crying,

“You can let me go.” Lc finally said in her hoarse voice, as she tried to free himself from him.

Now, her beautiful dress had ruined because she was sitting on this dirty ground, but she couldn’t care

    less

    about it..

“Where are you going?” Hunter asked in his deep voice when he saw Lc stood up and was about to

leave, he pushed himself of the ground and managed to catch up with her before she could go out of

    this dark alley.

If there was someone caught them together from there, they must assume the worst. While Hunter

didn’t care about what people would think of him, Lc was not the same.

“Don’t follow me,” Lc said in small voice, she tried to hasten her steps, but how could she beat him

into it when he only needed to make a long stride and he was already next to her.

“If I can’t follow you, then it will be you, who need toe with me.” Once again, Hunter grabbed her

hand and took her out of the alley into the lively street, where people enjoyed the festivities.

“Where are you going?” Lc looked panic, as she saw a few people caught a sight of both of them.

Not to mention Hunter’s presence demanded attention from the people around him, thus needless to

say, this was not the situation Lc wished to be,

“It depends.” Hunter nced at Lc over his shoulder, there was this cunning smile on the corner of

his l*ps when he spoke again. “We can go to the party, or do you want to go to the council for the

damage you have done to me,” he said innguid tone “Choose wisely, Lc. I know you are a smart

    woman.”

“Are you threatening me?” Lc frowned so hard.

“Yes.” Hunter was not even ashamed to admit that.
