Enemy 354

    Chapter 354

Caitlin’s sudden entrance and her bold im that the Fragrance Garments were a scam immediately caught the attention of the media shbulbs went off as cameras turned toward the stage, capturing every moment of the unfolding scene,

Everyone was curious–what evidence did she have?

Dous nced at Caitlin, suspicion clear in his eyes. “Miss, has The Yuncey Family wronged you in some way? Whye here and spread rumors? Do you realize that spreading rumors is illegal?”

“That’s right! Don’t speak without evidencel Also, you weren’t invited to our event. Please leave, or we’ll call the police!” Carmen’s tone darkened as she prepared to take legal action.

“Want proof?” Caitlin’s gaze sharpened as she turned to Carmen, cold and cutting. “I can give you proof.”

The crowd’s attention shifted fully to Caitlin as she sized up the Fragrance Garments on stage. She took a deep breath, analyzing the scent. “The fragrance on this garment doesn’te from natural fabric dye–it’s perfume. I’m aware that you coborated with a famous perfumer, Odessa, to create a new scent that has been used as the base for your Fragrance Garments.”

“That’s impossible! Stop making baseless usations!” Carmen’s face grew darker, and she immediately snapped at her brother, “Dous, get someone to throw this woman out! She’s here to cause trouble!”

But Dous, while aware of his sister’s frustration, didn’t follow her orders. He understood that if someone was raising doubts about the Fragrance Garments, it was best to address the issue here and now, rather than just throw her out. He wanted to see what this woman was up

to.

“I could remain silent, but do you really think everyone here can’t smell the difference?” Caitlin continued, holding up a small perfume bottle for everyone to see. “I happen to have a bottle of Odessa’s new fragrance here. I’d like to invite some guests with good noses toe up andpare the scents.”

A few guests eagerly raised their hands, eager to be a part of the demonstration.

“Great, let’s wee this gentleman to the stage!” Caitlin said, as one of the guests from the fashion industry came forward. He carefully sniffed both the Fragrance Garments and the perfume Caitlin had, then dered, “I can’t detect any difference.”

The crowd murmured in surprise. If the two scents were the same, it meant that the fragrance on the Fragrance Garments was indeed the

    same as Odessa’s perfume.

A few other guests, both men and women, came forward to test as well, and all agreed–the scent on the Fragrance Garments was identical to

    the perfume.

The audience waited for an exnation from The Yuncey Family. Carmen’s face turned even darker as she coldly responded, “Even if the scent is simr, what does that prove? It could just mean we used the same materials that Odessa used in her perfume, This doesn’t mean our Fragrance Garments aren’t the real deal.”

Caitlin continued to analyze, her voice steady and confident. “Alright, if the scents are the same, then let’s discuss the Fragrance Garments themselves. As everyone knows, Fragrance Garments from The Yuncey Family are incredibly valuable–each piece is worth its weight in gold. But why is it so valuable? Because it’s handmade with carefully selected materials.”

“The natural scent that Fragrance Garments should have is supposed to attract butterflies, a sign of its authenticity. But let’s put that to the test right here.”

Caitlin motioned to the audience, and James quickly retrieved arge ss jar filled with live butterflies.

Opening the jar, the butterflies immediately flew out, scattering across the room. But none of them flew toward the Fragrance Garments on

disy, Instead, one butterflynded right on Caitlin’s hair.

“Did everyone see that? Not a single butterfly was attracted to the Fragrance Garments. The answer is clear–there’s no nateral scent has Caitlin dered, her tone unwavering.

Carmen sneered, “Those butterflies were brought by you. Who knows if you tampered with them?”

“Since you’re suspicious, let’s do a more thorough test.”

Caitlin continued, “Based on the materials used in Fragrance Garments, there are three main fabrics: cotton, silk, and lotus silk. Lotus rekis the mostbor–intensive to produce and therefore the most valuable, followed by silk and cotton.”

The audience was taken aback by Caitlin’s detailed knowledge. Carmen and Dous were also surprised how did this woman know so much about The Yuncey Family’s Fragrance Garments?

Caitlin wasn’t done yet. “These three natural fabrics differ greatly from the synthetic blendsmonly found in the market. When burned, natural fabrics emit white smoke and leave behind ck spots. The ashes crumble easily. But when synthetic materials burn, they emit ck smoke, and nylon blends release a simr white smoke but with a foul odor.”

By this time, Caitlin had taken out a lighter. “Watch closely,” she said, lighting it. “Let’s test it.”

Carmen panicked, “Wait! What are you doing? This is our precious Fragrance Garments!”

Dous realized the situation was spiraling out of control. He shouted, “Security! Get her out of here!”

Several bodyguards rushed in, but were immediately blocked by Sebastian and James.

Carmen and Dous tried to snatch the lighter from Caitlin’s hand, but they were too slow. Caitlin had already lit the Fragrance Garments.

The garment quickly caught fire, emitting ck smoke, and the smell became unbearable for those seated in the front rows.

Caitlin swiftly ripped the burning garment off the model, tossing it to the floor with a mockingugh. “So, this is what you call Fragrance Garments? You think you can pass off synthetic fiber soaked in perfume as the real deal? Has The Yuncey Family really fallen this far?”

Her words hit The Yuncey Family hard, and the discarded garment was like a p to their face, leaving the audience stunned.

The crowd was in an uproar.

No one had expected this from such a prestigiousunch event. This woman had not only disrupted theunch but had also exposed the ws in The Yuncey Family’s product.

“Are you trying to sabotage The Yuncey Family on purpose?” Carmen shouted, furiously advancing toward Caitlin, but Sebastian was there in an instant, stepping between them to protect Caitlin.

As long as he was there, no one would harm her.
