Chapter 213
“I met your mother.”
Caitlin told him this astonishing news.
“You’re not lying to me, are you? Where did you meet her?” Sebastian asked, unable to believe it. How could someone who’s been missing for 18 years be found so easily by her?
“It was just recently, right outside The Vanderbilt Family’s gate. Your mother came back, but Raymond wouldn’t let her enter and had her thrown out. I was worried that she might be silenced, so I took her with me.”
Sebastian was once again shocked, feeling like he was in a dream. “Caitlin, are you saying this is really true? My mother really came back?”
“Yes, she did.”
“Where is she now? Where is she…?”
Sebastian couldn’t control his excitement, his eyes lighting up. Thinking of his mother, his heart ached painfully.
“Don’t rush. I’ve arranged for her to be admitted for observation. The Vanderbilt Family’s birthday banquet is in a few days, right? You it have the chance to meet her then.”
“Caitlin…”
A
Sebastian pulled her into his arms again, deeply grateful. “You’re truly my lucky star, the Vanderbilt Family’s lucky star. Caitlin… thank you…”
How lucky was he to have met her? She had given him four children, cared for him after his ident, helped resolve so many problems for the Vanderbilt Family, and now she had saved his mother. He didn’t even know how to thank her enough.
This woman was truly the angel sent by God to save him!
“Alright, we should get going.”
Caitlin patted his back, and Sebastian reluctantly let her go. They got into the car and headed back.
By the time they reached the city, it was already past 2 PM. Sebastian took Caitlin out for a meal, and after eating, they went their separate ways. Caitlin was going to visit Wendy at the hospital, while Sebastian was heading to the police station for an identification of the bones.
At the hospital, Caitlin found Wendy, who was much better. Molly and Simon were also there in the room. Wendy was scheduled to be discharged tomorrow after a day of observation,
They chatted for a while, and when Wendy finally fell asleep, Caitlin and Molly left together.
In an attempt to improve her rtionship with Caitlin, Molly said, “Caitlin, do you have time? Can youe shopping with me? My grandmother’s birthday ising up, and I want to buy some jewelry to match my outfit. It would be great if you could help me pick something out!”
“Sure, I have some time.”
With that, Caitlin apanied Molly to New York’s most famous jewelry store. As they entered the store, they immediately saw two familiar figures.
One was Yasmin, and the other was her mother, Leah.
“Mommy, how about this set? Does it match my dress?” Yasmin asked, showing off a set of jewelry in front of Leah.
“Beautiful, beautiful! My daughter is the most beautiful in New York. Just a little makeup, and she can make all the men outside stare.” Leah eximed
“Some people still say I can’t <bpare to Caltlin!” Yasmin scoffed.
“How could that be? She’s a divorced woman with kids. How could shepare to you? Sebastian is blind if he doesn’t see how amazing you are! Leah responded.
Molly, hearing this, couldn’t hold her temper anymore. She stormed forward, confronting them. “Who says Sebastian is blind? Whether he is or not, he would never look at your daughter!”
“Caitlin is my sister–inw, and I only have one sister–inw! Not just anyone can be my sister–inw. I wouldn’t want her even if she paid me!” Yasmin and Leah were taken aback by Molly’s words. They both turned and saw Caitlin and Molly standing there, one in front of the other.
Upon hearing Molly’s words, Leah was furious, and Yasmin frowned. “Caitlin, what are you two doing here?”
“Is this store only for your family, the Xenos Family? Are we not allowed toe in?” Caitlin replied, raising an eyebrow.
Molly hooked her arm around Caitlin’s, walking right past the two women.
Yasmin and Leah were furious. Yasmin grabbed her mother’s hand, stomping her feet. “Mom, look at them…”
“Don’t worry, we’ll show them who’s bosster,” Leah sneered, her eyes cold. She was still angry about what had happened with her sister Grace and Caitlin’s involvement. She wasn’t going to let this go.
Caitlin and Molly started browsing, and Caitlin helped Molly pick out a ne. “How about this one? Do you like it?”
Could Caitlin’s taste ever be wrong?
O
Molly immediately called to the sales assistant, “Please take this one out for me to see!”
The assistant took out the ne, and just as Molly was about to try it on, Yasmin rushed over and snatched it away. With an arrogant look, she ordered the assistant, “I’ll take this one. Wrap it up!”

Molly and Caitlin both turned to look at Yasmin. Her expression was haughty and provocative.
“That’s too much!” Molly huffed.
“Never mind, there are other styles. Let’s go see something else,” Caitlin said, noticing Yasmin’s intentional disruption. She didn’t want to waste time on such petty antics, so she grabbed Molly’s arm and led her to another counter where they found another beautiful piece.
“Please take this one out for us to try on. Thank you!”
The assistant quickly retrieved it. Yasmin, seeing that they were about to try it on, repeated her trick and rushed over to snatch it away. “Sorry, but I’m taking this one too!”
“Didn’t you just grab one? This ne is worth 300,000. Are you sure you want it as well?” Caitlin asked calmly.
“I’ll take it, what’s it to you? I can buy as many as I want. You have no say in it. My mom will buy them for me!” Yasmin answered smugly, calling out to her mother, “Mom, I want this one too!”
Leah walked over, holding a credit card. “If she likes it, just buy it. Swipe the card!”
The card was swiped without hesitation, and Yasmin was grinning in satisfaction, feeling like she had finally gotten one over on Caitlin.
Caitlin, however, saw right through her and decided to y along. “Staff! Did you hear that? Yasmin is a rich heir. They have so much money, they don’t even care about these expensive pieces. Go ahead and wrap everything up for her. Let’s get her checkout done!”
The staff quickly scanned all the jewelry, and the total came up to 19.8 million.
“After the discount, it’s 19.8 million. Madam, would you like to pay by card?”
The mother and daughter duo were stunned. They only new realized that Caitlin had deliberately chosen the most expensive irony, to
Caitlin smiled coldly and taunted, “What’s wrong? 19.8 million–can’t afford it?”
