For the rest of the work day, I was distracted by the tragic fate of Stanley’s first wife and son. While I was wrapping things up at my desk, I got a call from Rose. Irritation swept through me when I saw her name on my phone screen. Why did she send me pictures of all those vibrators when she knew that I was at work?

    When Rose texted me the address of a fancy restaurant, my stomach did a little flip.
