The man’s hand, which had been on her waist, suddenly found nothing to hold, but he smoothly grabbed her wrist instead.
Romina quickly turned back and met his deep, alluring eyes.
He asked in a low voice, “What are you going to do?”
Romina paused for a moment, then softly replied, “I’m going to Riverchester.”
“What are you going to Riverchester for?”
Joaquin’s brows furrowed slightly, his eyes full of confusion.
Romina answered bluntly, “To find someone and take care of something important.”
Joaquin nodded lightly. After letting go of her, he said nothing more.
Romina opened the car door and walked straight toward the wellness clinic.
Joaquin raised the partition in the middle, then looked up at the driver. “Aren’t we also going to Riverchester tomorrow?”
Erick nodded quickly. “Yes, Mr. Bowman. There’s a projectunching in Riverchester, and you need to attend the ribbon–cutting ceremony in person. We have to arrive before eleven in the morning.”

Valery was shocked. “Are you really going that far?”
“Is it really that far?” Nadine’s fingers trembled with anger. “This whole thing has been impossible to suppress, and I’m worried my future will be ruined by her. If it really is, then what’s the difference between that and being dead?”
Valery’s expression suddenly darkened.

She was looking down at her phone, reading a message from Terry on the screen.
