chapter81
“What are you talking about? Romi never told you?” Miguel was the first to object. “Did you forget or are your ears not working? We reminded you repeatedly that you couldn’t eat seafood! You even asked us why you couldn’t!”
“I never asked that, don’t make things up.” Elliott said seriously. “If I wasn’t supposed to eat it, why did- n’t you tell me in advance? I really didn’t hear anything about this!”
After hearing his words, Romina felt her heart sink lower and lower.
To be set up on the very first day of opening, she truly was surrounded by wolves and tigers!
She knew this day woulde, but never expected it to arrive so soon.
Just as Romina was about to respond, a deep voice interrupted her. “Isn’t there surveince? Just check the footage and you’ll know who’s lying.”
Everyone turned at the sound, their gazes shifting toward the source of the voice.
Romina followed the crowd’s line of sight, and that familiar figure slowly approached under everyone’s watchful eyes.
The man was dressed in a ck suit, his strikingly handsome face almost devoid of any expression ex- cept for indifference. His entire presence radiated an intimidating aura, causing the surrounding crowd to unconsciously make way for him.
Romina’s hand, holding the stylus, suddenly paused for a moment.
She truly hadn’t expected Joaquin to show up.
Elliana followed behind him, walking briskly to the consultation desk.
“That’s right! The wellness clinic has surveince cameras. If we check the footage, we’ll know for sure.”
Miguel echoed Joaquin’s words, lowering his gaze to look at Romina in front of him.
Romina withdrew her gaze and fixed her eyes on Elliott.
She asked seriously, “That day, Dr. Porter and I repeatedly reminded you not to eat seafood, but your

“What do you mean by that?” The elderly woman’s face darkened to the extreme. “Are you using my son of deliberately eating a lot of seafood?”
As the old woman’s voice fell, the surrounding crowd erupted in an uproar.
“Mom! Stop saying nonsense!”
Elliott quickly interrupted his mother, a chilling coldness shing in his
eyes.
“I don’t know if it was deliberate, but I do know he ate a lot of seafood, and it was after I had warned him. Based on that, the likelihood of it being ‘intentional‘ is very high.”
A strong, cold aura appeared in Romina’s shimmering eyes.
Joaquin walked straight to the consultation desk, resting one hand on the edge and cing the other on Elliott’s shoulder.
He lowered his gaze to look at Elliott, his voice dropping a few tones: “Did youe here to cause trouble on purpose?”
“I didn’t! I wasn’t trying to cause trouble, maybe I just forgot…”
Elliott seemed to recognize the man before him, a faint trace of fear appearing in his eyes.
“Causing trouble on the very first day of opening–do you have some kind of grudge against Ms. San- doval?”
The man’s hand on Elliott’s shoulder suddenly tightened its grip.
“Sir, my son didn’t cause trouble on purpose. They just didn’t give clear enough instructions, that’s all!”
The elderly woman insisted on her view, her gaze fierce as she looked at Romina.
“Go.” Joaquin instinctively nced toward Miguel. “Pull up the surveince footage.”
The man’s voice was deep, and a faint red glimmer appeared at the corners of his upturned eyes.
Miguel nodded quickly. “Alright.”
“Could it really have been intentional troublemaking?”
“Who put him up to this?”
“The results aren’t even out yet. Who’s causing trouble is still uncertain!”

“I don’t think that doctor is very skilled. She looks so young–what could she possibly be capable of?”

The surrounding chatter fell incessantly into their ears.
Romina acted as if she hadn’t heard a thing, focusing intently on Miguel’sputer screen.
Elliana and Lexie quickly came up behind Romina, their eyes also fixed on the surveince footage.
At that moment, Joaquin’s gaze met Elliott’s.
It was obvious that a trace of fear flickered in Elliott’s eyes.
Even though it shed by quickly, Joaquin still caught it.
After Miguel pulled up the surveince footage and disyed it for everyone, the crowd erupted again when they saw the strange, cold smile on Elliott’s face.
The truth was now self–evident.
Seeing the situation, Elliott tried to slip away, but the man beside him grabbed his cor tightly.
The men who had carried Elliott in earlier had already vanished without a trace.
“Son! Why would you take such a big risk to eat seafood?”
Even the previously arrogant old woman now looked at Elliott, her face full of confusion.
Elliott stammered, unable to utter aplete sentence: “I… I…..”
“Who put you up to this?”
Joaquin’s brows furrowed slightly, but his hand gripping Elliott’s cor never let go.
