chapter79
On the second day after opening, the number of clients doubledpared to the first day. Romina was overwhelmed with work, and Miguel was exhausted from dispensing medicine.
The two of them worked nonstop until ten o’clock at night.
Romina specially bought Miguel ate–night snack for him to take home.
Miguel was so touched that he kept praising Romina’s kindness, and even cursed Jericho for not recog- nizing her worth.
Romina couldn’t help butugh out loud at his words.
On the third day after opening, Romina arrived early at the wellness clinic, only to find that Miguel had arrived even earlier and was already receiving patients.
Just as Romina finished changing into her white coat, a sharp shout suddenly came from the entrance.
“Everyone, don’te to this wellness clinic for treatment anymore! All the doctors here are quacks! Look at what they’ve done to my son–he had an allergic reaction and they made him go into shock!”
At that moment, there were seven or eight patients already waiting in line at the wellness clinic.
Upon hearing themotion, everyone turned to look toward the entrance.
Romina and Miguel also looked up at the sound.
An elderly woman entered, apanied by four people, who were carrying a middle–aged man.
Romina immediately recognized the man.
He was the patient with allergies from the first day of opening.
If Romina remembered correctly, his name was Elliott Grant.
Before Romina could speak, Miguel stepped forward. “Ma’am, please don’t make false usations. We are highly professional naturopathic doctors–how could we be quacks?”
“Then look at my son! He came here for allergies the day before yesterday, took your medicine for three days, and then just passed out!”

“He’s my only son. If anything happens to him, what am I supposed to do?”
The elderly woman was short and thin, her ck clothes making her look even more frail.
Her constantly darting eyes made Romina frown slightly.
Wasn’t her performance a bit too exaggerated?
After the men set Elliott down, they all red angrily at Romina and Miguel.
Romina quickly stepped forward, crouched down, and checked Elliott’s condition.
His allergic reaction was extremely severe–much worse than when he first came in.

“He didn’t just faint; he’s in shock,” Romina said seriously to the elderly woman. “Did he ignore medi- cal advice and eat seafood or something simr? Didn’t I warn him not to eat those things?”
“My son hasn’t eaten any seafood these past few days. His diet has been very light–aside from the oat- meal I made, he only drank the herbal medicine you gave him. It must be something wrong with your herbal medicine!”
The elderly woman insisted it was Romina and Miguel’s fault, her eyes full of fierce determination.
Miguel retorted, “It’s obvious this was caused by eating seafood!”
“I said he didn’t! You quacks just refuse to believe me!”
“I’m calling the police! I’m going to sue you!”
The elderly woman began to make a scene, cursing as she reached for her phone.
“Oh my! Maybe their medical skills really aren’t up to par!”
“But I think the medicine they prescribed is pretty good. I’ve taken it a few times and never had any problems!”
“Maybe the side effects just haven’t shown up yet?”
“Don’t scare me! My heart can’t take it.”

It was Elliana’s aunt.
She was standing among the crowd, watching the scene unfold.
Romina said sternly, “The patient’s condition is critical right now. Immediate treatment is necessary–if the shock continues, his life will be in danger!”
“No! Don’t touch my son again!” The old woman quickly put down her phone and rushed forward, throwing herself in front of Elliott and crying incessantly. “My son is in shock right now. What if you end up killing him while trying to treat him?”
“Grandma, please stop dying, move aside quickly!”
Miguel hurried forward, trying to pull her away, but the old woman stubbornly refused to budge, un- willing to leave no matter what.
Romina spoke with a grave expression, “The situation is really dire. If you keep dying, he truly might die!”
Perhaps it was Romina’s unwavering expression, or maybe her powerful presence, but the old woman waspletely intimidated.
“Once he wakes up, I will give you an exnation, but right now, do not interfere with our treatment of the patient.”
Seeing that the old woman was no longer resisting, Romina turned her gaze to Miguel. “Prepare for mi- cropuncture with controlled bleeding immediately!”
“Alright.” Miguel quickly directed the men beside him, “You guys, hurry up and carry him in.”
The men looked at each other, but none of them moved.
“Why are you still standing there? Every minute of waiting increases the danger!”
