Sad Tears 76

When Romina returned, the man in blue was waiting for his medicine. As a new patient entered, she merely nced at the man before turning her attention to the neer.

“Hello, may I ask where you’re feeling unwell?”

“Are you Ms. Sandoval? I’m Elly’s aunt. She told me toe see you.”

Only then did Romina remember that a few days ago, Elliana had mentioned her aunt, Lexie Castro, mighte for a consultation.

“So it’s Lexie! Please, have a seat.”

    “Oh, thank you.”

Lexie sat down in the consultation chair and exined her health condition to Romina.

After taking her pulse, Romina quickly made a diagnosis. “Your condition isn’t very serious, but you’ll need physical therapy. You’re not afraid of needles, are you?”

    “No,

go ahead and do whatever you need. As long as you can treat me, anything is fine.”

Romina patted her hand reassuringly. “Don’t worry, it’s not a big problem.”

“I’ve heard Elly say for a long time that your medical skills are outstanding. Now that I’ve met you, it’s truly impressive! You seem even more capable than those much older naturopathic doctors…”

“Aunt, you’re too kind. Saving lives is our duty as doctors.”

“You really are beautiful and kind–hearted!”

Listening to Lexie’s words, Romina couldn’t help but smile.

Standing nearby, Miguel chimed in, “Isn’t that right! She’s wonderful in every way. I wonder which lucky man will get to marry someone as amazing as Romi.”

Romina nced at Miguel and smiled faintly. “Don’t tease.”

Miguel looked at her with a smile, then suddenly leaned in a little closer, watching as she wrote the pre- scription.

This scene fell into a pair of shadowy eyes.

After seeing Lexie off, Romina met that dark, intense gaze.

Jericho was standing at the door, slowly approaching her.

Romina only nced at him before withdrawing her gaze.

As Jericho entered, Miguel, who was standing at the cashier, instinctively called out, “Sir, are you here for a consultation?”

Jericho turned his head subconsciously, looking in Miguel’s direction.

At one meter eighty–five, even with a mask on, it was clear he was a very handsome young man.

Seeing that the man didn’t respond, Miguel looked at him a few more times.

Dressed in a ck suit, he exuded an air of nobility–clearly a young master from a distinguished fami-

ly.

    “Sir?”

Seeing that he still didn’t respond, Miguel called out to him again.

But Jericho strode forward, grabbed Romina’s arm, and said, “Such a big event as your grand opening, and you didn’t even tell me?”

Romina stopped in her tracks instantly.

She turned to look at the man before her. “What does this have to do with you? Do I have to tell you?”

“You used my money to open this wellness clinic. What’s wrong with me asking about it?”

Romina’s expression darkened abruptly. She shook off his hand. “How many times do I have to correct you about this? You bought my lion statues. You paid willingly. Once the money is in my pocket, it’s mine!”

The man’s tone was cold. “Who sent the flowers at the door? You don’t have many friends, do you? Who would be so generous as to send so many flower baskets?”

Romina had no interest in talking to him. “If you have nothing better to do, go pick up your child. It’s about time for school to end. Stop making the mistress do it, or people will think the mother is gone!”

At these words, Miguel, standing at the cashier, stared with eyes wide as saucers.

It took him a few seconds to piece together the general rtionships from their brief exchange.

    chapter76

This man must be Romi’s husband.

    They had a son together.

And this man actually had another woman outside…

He really hadn’t expected her family background to be so explosive.

It was just like the old saying: good women never meet good men.

“Romina, do you have to talk like that?”

A chilling coldness flickered in Jericho’s eyes.

Romina merely nced at him indifferently, then turned her gaze to Miguel. “Miguel, could you if this gentleman has a mental illness? If not, please help me show him out.

    Miguel nodded instinctively. “Alright, Romi.”

Romina strode forward briskly, quickly entering the consultation room to await the next patient.

    Jericho was fuming with anger.

When did this woman be so sharp–tongued?

She could insult people without using a single curse word…

“Sir, are you feeling unwell? If not, please leave for now! Don’t dy our consultations with patients. After all, patientse first. I hope you understand.”

Jericho lifted his shimmering eyes, and when he met Miguel’s gaze, the anger in his eyes grew even more intense.

Where did she find such an obedient subordinate?

Jericho snorted coldly for a moment, then red at him and left the wellness clinic without a word.
