Chapter 113 Trapped Ivan
Different praises poured in for Rence.
“Renee radiates beauty and allure with her stunning curves. Her aura is captivating, and she adorns herself in exquisite fashion. My admiration for her is so intense…I can’t help but feel ted.”
“I’m in a rtionship, but her smile made me question my preferences. It’s like she has this magical charm that transcends my usual inclinations.”
“Freddy humorously admitted lie was too old to be him, the situation is just tooical.”
for Renee.I can’t help but find it amusing. While I sympathize with
“Freddy’s expression of admiration, saying, ‘She is my benefactor and muse. There is no one else who deserves the center seat but her,‘ is incredibly sweet. Ahhh! It’s quite nice!”
“I’m an assistant to a show director, and seeing “The Pr Night‘ left an indelible mark on me. If I recall correctly, Renee should be a stylist, right?”
“Renee orchestrated Ivan’s breakthrough styling, and a man arranged a romantic fireworks show for her. She performed a beautiful ssical dance and was Freddy’s benefactor and Imuse. Her presence is truly enchanting. Ahhh! Is this woman a fairy?”
“Renee should be nominated for the title of Outstanding Person of the Year,” Ivan stated slowly.
Curious,Renee lifted her head and asked, “What do you mean?”
“That’s what theizens think of you, “Ivan exined, holding up his phone with a sigh. “They think you’re incredible.”
Just as Renee was about to express her gratitude, Ivan posed an unexpected question. “But are you blind though? Why did you marry Marcelo?”
“He isn’t as bad as you think.“A subtle expression crossed her face
Marcelo’s poprity had evidently grown.
Confused, Ivan continued, “I assume you were not aware before marrying him that he has no issues with his legs, right? Then in your eyes, he’s a person with disabled legs and a challenging temperament. Despite his good looks, he is a cold and aloof authoritarian. Why would you still marry him if you are not blind, huh?”
Renee found herself speechless. Where does she begin to exin to Ivan that he doesn’t know his cousin at all.
Before five o’clock,Marcelo returned home early.
The young boy on the sofa disregarded Marcelo, turning his head.
Without any preamble, Marcelo announced upon entering the house, “The tutor will arrive tomorrow, and you’ll study in the sub -building.”
The Mansion main building, where Marcelo and Renee resided, was a grand vi. A smaller vi, the sub–building, stood a few meters away and was typically used for hosting guests.
However, it remained empty since Marcelo rarely invited friends to the house.
“I won’t study. I’m going to y in the world championship,” Ivan protested vehemently, jumping up.
“Will the world disappear after you finish your college entrance examination? Or will the worldpetition end?“Marcelo’s was cold and stern. “Ivan, do you aspire to be the sole family member with only a high school education?”
response
“I simply want to bring honor to our country. You, old man, can’t even understand.“Ivan referred to his alliance and argued, ” Renee used to support my involvement in esports.”

Renee was taken aback and bewildered. What was he saying?
When did she ever agree?
It appeared that Ivan had posed this question during their initial meeting when she styled him. It turned out to be premeditated. Ivan aimed to leverage her at this moment.
“Well…“Renee had to interject, “Having only a high school education is not a significant concern.”
While it was true that many professional athletes and esports yers sacrificed their education for their careers, it didn’t imply ack of cultural literacy.
Marcelo nced at Renee, then turned to Ivan, asserting firmly, “Your parents entrusted me with your care. If you don’t study, you can’t eat. The choice is yours.”
With that, Marcelo went upstairs.
Ivan seethed with anger, adopting a nonchnt expression that said, “Whatever.”
Observing Ivan, Renee caught up with Marcelo and remained silent until they reached the second floor.
“Hey, he’s your cousin after all. Isn’t it cruel to deny him food? He’s only a teenager, a crucial age for growth,” She said tactfully.
Marcelo didn’t take it seriously and replied, “He won’t starve to death if he skips his meal for three days.”
Renee was at a loss for words.
Marcelo continued, “What’s the point of eating if he’s only building his body and not his brain?”
Renee couldn’t find a response. Suddenly, she empathized with Ivan’s plight.
Unable to bear it any longer, she proposed, “How about I talk to him?”
“Leave him be.”
Marcelo swung open the study door, tugging Renee inside.
Before she could react, the door shut, and he pressed her against it, his face looming in front of hers.
A lengthy kiss followed, leaving Renee breathless.
Instinctively feeling weak, she found herself supported by his grip on her waist.
“Congrattions, Renee, the youngest gold medal winner of the YEAR. “His deep, mellow voice resonated within the confines of the study. The walls echoed faintly, teasing the eardrums.
Renee, though she should have felt joyous, expressed a subtle annoyance she hadn’t even recognized herself. “You know about it?”
Her tone almost hinted, “You’ve finally found out.‘
”
Marcelo lowered his gaze, a smile ying on his lips. Bending down, he pressed his forehead against hers in an intimate andforting manner.
“I asked Sherell,” he admitted.
Sherell had spread the news about Renee’s remarkable achievement, amplifying Marcelo’s admiration.
With a snort, Renee’s mood lightened. She pushed Marcelo away, dering, “Move aside. I have work to do.”
“What are you busy with?” He remained in ce, exerting more pressure on her.
“A speech for my alma mater’s anniversary,” she replied. Suddenly, a suspicion crossed her mind, and she questioned, “Did you

arrange for the school security guard to escort me back that day?”
Marcelo might have avoided the topic, but once brought up, he intended to settle the score.
He pinched her chin and remarked, “Pretending not to know me again? Huh?”
Thest word he uttered carried a menacing tone, rising with a sense of danger.
“Didn’t you pretend not to know me too?“Renee retorted, rolling her eyes. “We were not on speaking terms at that time.”
A sly smile yed across his eyes as his hand, initially cupping her chin, moved back to gently caress the tip of her ear.
“You ungrateful girl. Who arranged for the guard to escort you?” he chided.
Her sensitive ear caught the subtle touch, causing her to shiver involuntarily as she tilted her head to the side.
“Tell me, who? Huh?“Marcelo continued, showing no intention of letting her go.
“You. It’s you.” Sensing the charged atmosphere, Renee urged, “Let go of me. Your cousin is still downstairs.”
“It’s not like he doesn’t understand that we, as a couple, can share some intimate moments,” Marcelo responded.
Renee rolled her eyes inwardly. The crucial aspect wasn’t whether Ivan understood or not!

She didn’t leave the study until thirty minutes had passed, her emotions managed but noticeable.
Ivan, curled up on the sofa, radiated discontent.
Upon seeing Renee descend the stairs, Ivan’s eyebrows shot up. “Is Marcelo really impotent? You two concluded sooner than I expected.”
Renee, caught off guard, replied with a hint of annoyance, “Come on, it wasn’t what you assumed. I was speaking up for you.”
“Any luck?” His scruffy appearance gave way to a spark of hope.
Renee paused at his question. Well, none.
She remained silent, then posed a question. “You just clinched the national championship, then announced a year’s break. Is it because of the college exams?”
Ivan’s expression clouded. “No. Marcelo threatened our club’s head. Said he’d buy the club and ruin it if I wasn’t given time off.” Ivan had struggled against Marcelo’s influence but to no avail. He ended up at the house, all due to the uing college exams. Renee exined, “The exams are next June, six months away. You’re only seventeen. A half–year dy won’t set you back. I checked; your team’s previous Mid Laner has a wrist issue, not critical. He ns to retire for family reasons next year. Your absence as the new Mid Laner won’t cause much disruption.”
Ivan, somewhat embarrassed, acknowledged, “You’re well–informed. You understand this much better than Marcelo.” Understanding people was key tomunication, a fact Renee knew all too well.
“If you’re on board with me, why not take six months for the entrance exam? After the exam, you could reques college. This way, your career and studies won’t suffer.”

Ivan gazed at Renee, his expression nk. “That assumes I get into college.”
Renee was puzzled.
“My grades are unsatisfactory, “Ivan admitted.
Uncertainly,Renee asked, “Are your grades truly that poor?”
Ivan regretted thinking Renee was understanding.
“I’m no genius. I want to pass too. But I can’t!“He was close to tears
Renee reassured him, “A world champion can’t be dumb.”
“You don’t understand. That Marcelo was reciting poetry at two. I couldn’t even say ‘Grandma‘ when I was two. And my parents always use him as an example when I was younger. They wanted me to grow up to be like him and they always reminded me of all his achievements every time they got. It’s been a shadow over my childhood.”
Renee thought Ivan and Andrew shared something inmon.
Marcelo voice echoed from the stairs. “Who are you calling that Marcelo?”
Ivan scoffed, ignoring him.
After a moment, he turned to Renee. “What about your college exam?”
“I didn’t sit for it,” She replied.
His eyes sparkled, seeing a fellow human like him, he was about to tease Marcelo, “See, even your wife…”
Renee continued, “I was rmended in my second year of high school.”
Ivan was speechless.
He fell into a state of unimaginable dread.
He was unworthy of stepping foot in this house.
Despite Ivan’s protests, Marcelo arranged the best tutor and relocated him to the guesthouse. A servant was assigned for his daily needs, and bodyguards ensured he couldn’t leave.
