Chapter 89 Everything to him

A distant sound of wheels reached Catherine’s ears.

Renee, who recognized this sound, lifted her gaze. Murmurs spread among the people around. “Why’s he in a wheelchair?”

“That doesn’t look like Andrew. I’ve seen his photo before

“Wow! Look at him, such a nice–looking guy with that cool look.”

Susanna nudged Renee’s arm, whispering, “Renee, this concerns you. That’s the attractive guy who was asking about you recently.”

Renee locked eyes with Marcelo from a distance.

Marcelo lounged in the wheelchair, his good looksbined with a cool appearance and a piercing gaze. As he came closer, the chatter around him stopped.

    Renee stood up, visibly stunned.

    Why was he here?

He was the one who funded their project with millions of dors?

“Catherine, that’s not Andrew, right?” inquired an actress close to Catherine in a hushed tone.

“Um…No.“Catherine’s expression soured, her response gritted out.

Everyone had assumed Andrew was the generous sponsor, but they were mistaken.

    Catherine felt embarrassed.

“This is Mr. King, our sponsor. Please give him a warm wee,” Joseph announced, standing next to Marcelo.

Marcelo gestured for the apuse to end.

Luke caught his cue. He turned to Joseph. “Mr. Ramos, carry on with your tasks. Don’t mind us. We’re just here for a quick look.”

But with such an attractive and influential figure arriving, how could anyone focus on their tasks?

Each person pretended to focus on their tasks, yet nearly everyone stole nces at the striking man seated in the wheelchair.

In no time, Marcelo spotted Renee amidst the crowd.

Joseph quickly caught on and introduced her.

“Mr. King, this is our assistant director of makeup. She’s quite the looker and also young and promising. Would you like her to exin her role to you?”

Marcelo gave a nod in response.

Joseph now felt certain Marcelo’s visit was for Renee.

Upon hearing this, Renee instinctively looked towards Marcelo.

His gaze was cold yet profound, as though he could draw her in.

“Good day, Mr. King. I’m Renee, in charge of costume and makeup for our leading cast.”

Holding her portfolio, Renee was uncertain about showing it to him.

She doubted Marcelo, a man who probably saw no difference between high heels and sneakers, would get it. Hidden from view, Marcelo’s tongue pushed against the back of his teeth.

He was annoyed by Renee’s pretense of ignorance about him.

“Joseph, I’ve decided to stay over tonight, “He suddenly dered.

Renee looked at him, eyes wide, filled with caution.

Marcelo was pleased by her wary reaction.

Joseph was taken aback. Marcelo had initially nned just a brief visit, not even staying for dinner. What made him change his mind?

Recovering swiftly, Joseph offered, “Mr. King, I’ll arrange your amodation and set up a wee party this evening.”

Marcelo’s gaze remained on Renee. “Miss Hudson, would you mind showing me to my room?”

“I’m swamped with work. I can’t,” replied Renee, declining instantly.

The thought of escorting Marcelo to his room made her feel abined sense of unease and danger. Marcelo might not allow her return to the set and even if she did,she knew she’d be barely able to walk.

Marcelo turned to Joseph. “Joseph, does Miss Hudson have some free time?”

How could she im to be busy in front of their sponsor?

“She’s avable,” Joseph confirmed. “Renee, please show Mr. King around. And join us for dinner tonight.”

Renee was at a loss for words.

Marcelo gestured for Luke to step away, then requested of Renee, “Miss Hudson, would you mind pushing my wheelchair?”

Everyone witnessed Renee escorting the sponsor into the hotel.

Once the pair departed, the others started buzzing.

    “Does Renee know the sponsor?”

“The sponsor is in a wheelchair, but he’s quite handsome.

“The sponsor seems to like Renee because she’s pretty.”

“Yeah,Renee’s looks could evennd her an acting role.”

Susanna, however, had a different view.

She fancied the idea of Renee, beautiful as she was, paired with the good–looking sponsor.

“Catherine, the sponsor’sst name is King too. Do you recognize him?” Nora Stewart, the lead actress, inquired Catherine.

Catherine’s expression turned grim. “I don’t know him.”

Nora was surprised by her cold response. “Then why are you getting upset?”

Another colleague joined in, “Right. You even agreed when we suggested the sponsor was your boyfriend.”

I never confirmed anything. That was your assumption, “Catherine replied.

“Wasn’t that your silent agreement?” Nora rolled her eyes. So you just went along with it randomly.” Catherine’s frustration boiled over, leading her to m the script onto the desk before going out rudely.

Throughout the journey, Renee remained silent, simply pushing Marcelo’s wheelchair.

As they entered the presidential suite, Marcelo, still in his wheelchair, quickly closed the door. He swiftly pulled her towards him, and before she could react, she found herself seated on hisp. She was now facing him.

    “Mar…”

His lips met hers, silencing her words.

Renee tried to pull away, but her position weakened her leverage.

Marcelo’s firm grip on the back of her head left her no choice but to yield to him.

Her eyes wide open, she saw the intense emotions in his eyes.

The intensity of the moment caused Renee to instinctively close her eyes.

In that instant, she felt the soft brush of Marcelo’s eyshes against hers.

“Open your mouth,” he instructed, his voice rough and deep.

Though the central air was off, the temperature in the room seemed to rise.

In their close embrace, Renee could easily sense the changes in his body.

Wanting to prevent things from escting further, Renee began to tap insistently on Marcelo’s shoulder, signaling him to release her.

His presence can be really distracting and she knew very well how disoriented she was whenever he touches her.

She needed to focus on her work.

“Mar…Marcelo…” Gasping for breath, Renee tried to move away from Marcelo. s, she was far too weakpared to him. “Did you send the film crew millions of dors a few days ago?” she asked in a low voice.

Marcelo just gazed intently at her.

Although he didn’t say anything, his intense gaze was quite frightening.

“Why did you suddenly decide to sponsor this crew? From what I was told, it was a private sponsorship!” She was really curious.

    If it was a

Since this was a private sponsorship, Marcelo would not get any benefit from his financial assistmercial sponsorship, for example if apany decided to sponsor the show, the production team would insert a soft advertisement for thatpany in one of the episodes. They could even make a thank you note to the sponsor, which would be broadcast at the beginning or end of the episode for publicity purposes.

“I have a lot of money, “Marcelo said perfunctorily. He stroked Renee’s waist from time to time while leisurely pinching the thin and soft flesh on the back of her waist.

The real reason he decided to sponsor the show was to make sure Renee was treated well. He didn’t want a situation like the day before to arise where she caught a cold. However, he wouldn’t tell her that.

He would also not tell her that since he was a sponsor of the show, he could visit her whenever he wanted.

It had been unbearable staying at his house without her.

He never thought this day woulde, where someone’s presence would mean everything to him.
