The news came as a shock to everyone.
Jayson narrowed his eyes. For something like this to happen at such a time, it didn’t seem like a simple
coincidence.
Gary’s expression hardened. “Has the news already gotten out?”
His secretary nodded. “For some reason, the news spread very quickly. Some civilians have even learned that
Mr. Larkin’spany is partnering with the government on a research project. There are already opinions
suggesting they’re a high–riskpany since one of their employees lost their life in the workce.”
The actualments were even harsher. Some civilians suspected the government of trying to cover up the
incident.
A fatal workce ident was a serious matter.
In other words, they would not only need to reassess whether Jayson’s materials were up to standard, but also
question the safety and security of his factories‘ operations.
With both problems surfacing at the same time, the damage to Jayson’spany would be doubled.
Ariel processed the information and quickly spotted the most critical issue.
If it were just about the data, they could spend more time redoing the tests. But Jayson’s factory appeared to have operational risks–risks that had already cost an employee their life. With the public aware of the incident, the situation became even moreplicated.
She frowned and looked at Jayson, who sat calmly in his seat.
Jayson dropped his gaze, pondering for a moment. Then, crossing his legs, he said nonchntly, “The news must’ve spread really fast. Everyone’s already talking about it, yet I, the boss, haven’t received any official
word.”
He knew Eric would have contained the situation as soon as the ident happened. Someone must have deliberately leaked it.
Maurice had a grim look on his face. “It’s almost time to incorporate your materials into this major project, Mr. Larkin. But with all this happening, yourpany might be ssified as high–risk.

“The investigation and the resolution of the ident at your factory will take time. And we can’t simply wait while the project moves forward.”
That was the most pressing issue.
Gary’s face darkened.
Ariel studied Jayson’s expression. Somehow, it seemed as though he had expected this.
Just then, the conference room door opened.
One of the hangar staff hurried in and went straight to Gary. “Commander Quinton, there’s something we need
to report.‘
Gary turned his gaze on the man.
The staffer was visibly flustered. After a few seconds to steady himself, he said, “There’s an alternative provide:
for the special single–crystal material.”
Ariel’s eyes widened slightly. An alternative provider at this time?
Jayson arched his brows, an enigmatic smile tugging at his lips.
Gary was taken aback as well. He mmed his hand on the table and stood. “What do you mean? What
alternative provider?”
“It’s…” the man began to exin.
“It’s me, Mr. Quinton.” A voice came from the doorway. 3
As the door swung open, Samson walked in.
His gaze lingered briefly on Jayson’s face before he smirked faintly and turned to Gary.
“Mr. Quinton, I can help resolve your current issue by providing the necessary technology for producing the
materials.”
Gary looked dumbfounded. “You have ess to that technology too?”
Samson responded, “Yes. We’ve been running tests until recently, and now the production process is stable. Our main sales target is North Merinia. But with Mr. Larkin’s problems, it seems it’ll take him some time to sort things out.

“With all the public criticism, the government’s ns and strategies will also be affected. I can allocate and provide most of ourpany’s materials for this project. That way, there won’t be any major dys in our
military operations.”
Ariel stared at Samson. In just minutes, everything became clear. Samson had miraculously arrived with help at
the very moment it was needed.
While everyone else was in shock and full of questions, Samson revealed he possessed the exclusive production technique for the special material, offering the perfect solution to the government’s troubles.
Between Jayson, embroiled in scandal, and Samson, who had almost no rumors or controversies surrounding
him, the choice was clear.
