Nancy never expected her code to actually match Ariel’s reconstruction.
This meant that what Cedric had written yesterday wasn’t his own idea, but….
Her vision darkened, yet she gritted her teeth. She didn’t even realize her voice was shaking as she said, “No one here is the actual party involved. No one can speak for them. Your spection has no basis. The U.N2 developer isn’t here. Who could possibly represent them I won’t ept this baseless usation.”
Even as she said it, a creeping panic gnawed at her from within. Her gaze instinctively flicked toward Jayson in the audience.
He remained seated with his legs crossed, too far away for her to read his expression. It was as if a veil of mist covered him–she had never truly understood him.
But she felt that if things went wrong today, Jayson would handle it. It had always been that way.
The mention of the U.N2 developer suddenly set the stadium abuzz.
Everyone knew that if that usation were true, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Frederick knew that well. His face darkened instantly. “Empty words! How can you nder someone like this? Isn’t this about the simrities between your work and Ms. Stanton’s? Are you dodging the point, shifting me, and framing her?”
Ariel’s gaze stayed fixed on him for a moment beforending on Nancy. “What if the developer were here?”
Her voice was so calm that it made everyone uneasy.
Samson’s eyes snapped toward her. His gaze suddenly burned with intensity.
Even Cecilia frowned. She sensed that something was slipping beyondprehension and control.
Ariel’s words had clearly ignited the heaviest bomb in the stadium. Many were taken aback.
“No way. How could that level of figuree here without anyone knowing?”
“Could Nancy really have giarized? But how would she even know U.N2’s ssified code?”
“This is a publicpetition. Unlike a private corporate dispute, if this gets confirmed, Nancy would be held ountable by the government.”
This wouldn’t just be a minor issue. The consequences would be severe.
Nancy’s entire future could be destroyed, with no chance of recovery. A defamation sentence of a year or two was trivial inparison
Nancy understood this perfectly. Her face was ashen, but she kept her gaze icy as she stared at Ariel. “Do you even know what you’re saying? Fine. Then tell me. Who is it? Ariel, how much more absurd can you get to target me?”
Gary could tell from Nancy’s attitude that she knew the Na developer was confidential, hence her frankness. But…
“Ms. Walker is right. The developer is here.” Gary stood unusually stern.
Zach froze the moment he heard that.
Gary knew the U.N2 developer? And they were actually present?
Nancy’s body shivered.
Before she could say anything, Carlos looked at Ariel. “At this point, this isn’t just about personal issues. It involves national secrets. The situation is serious. It’s time to reveal yourself and resolve this properly.”
His words left no ambiguity.
Matt and the others shot nces at Ariel. Realizing the implication, Matt almost lost his voice. “Is… she…”
Cecilia’s expression tightened. It took her a moment to process, and when she did, a subtle shadow darkened her eyes.
Gary no longer held back. He stepped onto the stage.
With a grave expression, he stared at Nancy and enunciated every word, “If you want an exnation, fine. I’m officially notifying you here. The U.N2 developer, kept confidential and protected by the country five years ago, is none other than the Ariel Walker standing before you!”
