Inside 531

    Chapter 531

“It’s nothing. Let’s sit over there.” Ariel pointed in a direction far from where Jayson was.

She did not spare Jayson another nce as she walked over to the table next to the window. However, Ariel couldn’t control the thoughts that were going through her head.

Even after she and Samson had taken their seats, Jayson remained in his seat without doing much.

While her suspicions grew stronger, Ariel maintained a neutral expression.

She didn’t think it was a big deal if the person fromst night was Jayson. They had been married for three years, so another night together wouldn’t make a difference.

After all, she wasn’t someone who would let herself be bound by old, outdated values.

“Are you feeling cold? Do you need a jacket?” Samson nced at the thin, knitted cardigan Ariel was wearing. The temperature in that region was a bit low. He pointed to his clothes.

“You can wear mine if you don’t mind.”

“It’s fine. That won’t be necessary.” Ariel had a dubious look in her eyes as she nced at Samson.

She felt even more convinced now. For some reason, Samson was showing her a lot of concern. It was to the extent that Ariel found it peculiar.

Samson didn’t force Ariel to ept his help. He decided to respect her wishes.

Ariel experienced some difort in her stomach, so she didn’t eat much. However, she did have another ss of warm honey

    water.

During breakfast, Samson went out briefly to take a call.

Ariel sent Janice a WhatsApp message, telling her toe down for breakfast.

Someone sat opposite Ariel just as she was done sending the message.

Cecilia hadn’t applied any makeup. Yet, her facial features were sharp and beautiful. She grinned at Ariel as she silently observed

    thetter’s condition.

    “Did you sleep wellst night?”

Ariel found those words oddly familiar. Samson had also asked her the same question.

“What time did the party endst night?” Ariel didn’t respond to her question. Instead, she changed the topic.

Cecilia raised her brows. With one elbow on the table, she rested her chin on her hand, “Around 3:00 am? couldn’t sleep, so I just came here instead.”

Certhie easily steered the topic back to what she wanted to talk about “Actually, Samson was very worried about you after you Leftst sight wing you didn’t look that well I told him your room number, and he went looking for you right away.”

Ariel nightened her grip around the ss she was holding

Suddenly, the situation had gone way out of hand. This was very deberent from what she had spected might have happened.

“Samson went looking for me?” Ariel’s expression remained the Her tone was soothing

Cecilia Uilted her head and smiled “That’s right. He was worried that you might be feeling unwell. He went looking for you right away after I told him your room number Did anything happen between you twost night?”

When Cecilia said that, Jayson happened to pass by their table since he was heading to the buffet counter.

He’d heard every single word she said.

Cecilia’s intentions were obvious. She was asking if Ariel and Samson had spent the night together.

Jayson slowly came to a halt. He fixed Cecilia with a piercing gaze then, his gaze drifted toward Ariel’s face. His eyes were cold and emotionless.

    The air felt tense.

Cecilia gazed at him. A faint smile yed across her lips. Her eyes reflected her amusement.

    “Jayson?”

In the distance, Nancy waved at Jayson as soon as she came into the restaurant.

She frowned as she cast a nce at Ariel. There was a hint of displeasure in her eyes.

Nancy didn’t like how Ariel kept showing up wherever Jayson went 1

Jayson broke his gaze, turned on his heel, and strode away.

Cecilia raised her brows, surprised by Jayson’s silence. She stared at his receding figure for a moment before turning her gaze to

    Ariel.

Ariel still wasn’t sure what had happened. She took a sip of the honey water and said, “I went to bed earlyst night.”

Cecilia didn’t understand what Ariel meant by that. She fixed her gaze on Ariel for quite some time.

On the other hand, Ariel didn’t say much. Inwardly, she was trying to figure out what had happened.

If what Cecilia said was true, Samson was the man she had been with the night before. But even more unsettling to Ariel was the strange way Jayson was acting. (1)

Ariel dropped her gaze and pondered for quite some time. She decided to find out the truth so that she could get a sense of

    reassurance.

Ariel nned to ask and check with her ex–husband directly.
