It seemed like Cecilia was just asking the question in passing. However, she clearly had a bold, free–spirited side to her. Her confidence had most likely stemmed from her family’s background and immense wealth.

    Nancy hesitated for a moment.

During that short time, Cecilia narrowed her eyes. “Oh. 1 just came back from abroad, but I already heard some gossip. I’ve heard of how you’ve recently nned to get Mr. Larkin to marry you.”

Nancy stiffened. Then, her expression hardened.

She couldn’t understand why Cecilia was suddenly being so blunt and indelicate.

Jayson was looking at Cecilia as well. A small frown creased his forehead.

Cecilia tilted her head and smiled. “You shoulde up with a price I’ll be satisfied with if you wish to discuss the rental. Take your time to think it through, Ms. Stanton.”

Then, she turned around and walked over to where Ariel was.

By the time Ariel had snapped out of her reverie, Cecilia had stopped before her. She looked at Ariel and extended her hand.

“Mrs. Larkin… Oh no. Hello, Ms. Walker. Pleased to make your acquaintance. I’m Cecilia Pryce, Sams older sister.”

Cecilia made no attempt to be discreet.

Nancy could see what was happening over on that side.

    e’s

The way Cecilia had treated her and Ariel waspletely different. What Cecilia said to her just now was clearly the former’s way to humiliate her.

Matt was shocked after witnessing what happened.

Cecilia could be a bit tricky to deal with. She couldn’t even be bothered to hide the scorn and disdain she had for

    Nancy.

They couldn’t possibly expect her to be courteous to Nancy

Jayson lowered his gaze and nced at Nancy. “There’s still room for negotiation. Don’t worry.” (1

Nancy had a grim look on her face as she nodded. She reckoned Cecilia had acted this way because she sympathized with Ariel, whom Jayson didn’t love. What Cecilia was doing was absolutely meaningless.

Meanwhile, it was Ariel’s first time meeting Cecilia. She shook hands with her. “Hello, Ms. Pryce.”

Cecilia was an easy–going person. She replied calmly, “I heard about a lot of interesting things upon returning from abroad, including your skills and expertise. I’m really impressed with what I’ve heard. Is it okay with you if we exchange contact details?”

Ariel had no reason to turn down her request. “Sure.”

Cecilia lifted her brows and cast Ariel a meaningful nce. Thanks. I heard a lot about you from Samson. He had used all kinds of nice, beautiful words to describe you.”

Ariel was at a loss for what to say.

Cecilia didn’t wait for Ariel’s response. After they had added each other on WhatsApp, Cecilia raised her brows

    again.

“I like you a lot. Hopefully, we’ll get the chance to hang out soon. I hope you’ll enjoy today’s exhibition too. These are all my artworks. Once you’re done looking, please let me know if there’s something that catches your attention. I’ll give you a painting as a gift.”

Then, Cecilia turned around and walked away.

She came and went like the wind.

Coming to the exhibition today was full of unexpected surprises for Ariel, who also noticed some simrities between Samson and Cecilia.

She got to know Cecilia Pryce, who was also Aurelia.

Ariel also learned that Samson was actually Kristen’s son. That exined how Samson had managed tond a high position in the Yeager Group as soon as he returned to the country. Samson had a really solid backing. Since Ariel was needed back at the office to attend to a few issues, she and Janice soon left the art museum. Once they were in the car, Janice was filled in on Nancy’s n to rent the art museum for Sarah’s art exhibition. “If the exhibition is a sess, Sarah will be able to solidify her position in the local art industry. Previo managed to gain more fame by organizing a charity event.”

Ariel was thinking about it too.

Regrettably, she still hadn’t received any news regarding the painting that she was looking for.

The search would be quite difficult, especially since Jayson refused to share any information with her. Ariel frowned, pondering for a long time how to ovee the situation.

For several days, Ariel tried to avoid handling any work that required her to meet with Faye Technologies‘ clients or partners. She wanted to wait until the talk of her being Jayson’s wife had died down a little.

On Friday, Ariel needed to visit the military base, where public ess was allowed, for the second time to test out her ns. 1

This time, Ariel brought Noah and several other engineers to the military base.
