Inside 375

Chad couldn’t help but let out a chuckle at that. So that was what Nancy was after.

Nancy looked at him and said, “Mr. Hockney, in our line of work, others may not understand, but you do. We put in endlesste nights and countless hours, pouring ourselves into data and technical proposals. That’s why we should all be protecting intellectual property, shouldn’t we?”

“Have you done your investigation properly?” Chad didn’t bother to answer her. He went straight to the point. “As of now, the usations areing solely from Veyo.

“We won’t ept beingbeled based on a one–sided im. Ms. Stanton, please send me your detailed evidence. We’ll conduct a thorough investigation and respond ordingly.”

Terrance, being a foreigner, only understood bits of the conversation as they were talking in Crausian, but everyone at the table was fluent in Merinian.

Smiling, he said, “I can provide the contents of my email as proof. Mr. Hockney, Ms. Walker, if you need it, I can send it to you.”

“Sure.” Ariel showed no reaction on her face. She stood up briskly. “Then there’s nothing left to discuss. You can take whatever legal route you want.”

She wasn’t going to waste time arguing with Nancy or this so–called engineer.

She had a clear answer and the rted evidence of the alleged giarism. There was no reason for her to stay here anymore.

Terrance had told them that the code and proposal were stored in his email. That confirmed the intellectual property sh between Veyo Solutions and Faye Technologies.

Ariel needed to head back and sort everything out.

Chad didn’t bother maintaining any friendly facade either. He stood and followed Ariel out with a cold expression.

He left without uttering a single word more than necessary.

    Nancy didn’t seem fazed.

If she were working for Faye Technologies, she would be in a panic right now.

This was no small matter. One slip–up could destroy thepany.

Nancy nced at Terrance and said coolly, “Get your evidence in order. giarism is serious business. Protect your rights carefully. Make sure there’s no mistake.”

Terrance took a sip of coffee. “I know.”

Nancy nodded, then turned her gaze to Ariel’s and Chad’s figures visible through the ss.

A trace of sarcasm shed in her eyes. She was curious to see how they would handle this mess.

Terrance was a tech genius Veyo Solutions had recruited back and had only just joined two weeks ago.

Faye Technologies had made things difficult for Nancy on patent issues, which was why Terrance and a few others had been brought in for independent development.

Now, this unexpected trouble had surfaced.

    Nancy gave a light, mockingugh.

Chad waspletely focused on Ariel at his side. His oversight had led thepany into serious trouble.

Back at thepany, Ariel and Chad held an emergency meeting.

They went over the entire situation from start to finish. Yet, they still couldn’t pinpoint exactly where the problemy.

Chad had received the evidence from Veyo Solutions, which included emails from Terrance’s personal ount. The records were detailed, dating back two years, down to the exact month, day, hour, and minute.

Ariel reviewed Terrance’s code. To be honest, a very small part of it did match her base code.

Besides that, Terrance also had a rough technical proposal that ovepped with some key points that Faye Technologies had publicly released. The simrity between the two raised serious concerns.

“Emails can be faked. Timestamps and data can be manipted, but there’s no way they’d know the details of the base code and the proposal. How could they…” Chad tapped his fingers on the table, falling into deep thought.
