Gary had received the news too. He was quite surprised that the Faye Technologies team had suddenly dropped such a major announcement.
On second thought, Gary figured it was quite understandable for Faye Technologies to make that decision since they had someone like Ariel on their team.
He called Zach. “You’ve heard thetest news about Faye Tech, right? If you’re thinking of running part of the production chain overseas starting this year, you need to grab onto this opportunity. You should meet and talk to Ms. Walker.”
Zach had learned about Faye Technologies‘ revolutionary patented technology, naturally.
“Why should I be talking to Ariel, though?” Zach was confused. Chad was the owner and the person who could make the calls in Faye Technologies. Yet, why did Gary suggest he meet with Ariel instead?
Since the non–disclosure agreement Ariel had signed was still effective, Gary had to obey the instructions from his higher–ups and keep Ariel’s identity as the U.N2 developer a secret.
Even if Zach was his son, Gary could not make an exception for him. He could only give Zach a hint in a roundabout way.
Just do as I say. It’ll only do you good if you can establish a friendly rtionship with Ms. Walker.”
Zach snapped out of it. Then, he said a little hesitantly, “I’ll see what I can do, Dad.”
“What do you mean you’ll see what you can do? You can consider quitting your job now if you can’t secure the patent license this time. We don’t have the edge in terms of our skills or technology.
“With our current level of technology, it’ll take at least five years for any of our localpanies to develop and create something simr to the new flight control system that Faye Tech has introduced and patented. By the time anyone does that, Faye Tech will probably have already gotten to the point where they’re simply unrivaled! You don’t have any other choice.”
Zach had a conflicted look on his face. He had been feeling troubled ever since he learned about Faye Technologies ‘new patented technology. “I had some conflict with the Faye Tech team, though. They even turned down my request to coborate previously.”
That was the reason why Zach was feeling extremely frustrated now.
He knew very well that theirpany would lose itspetitiveness if they failed to seize this opportunity. For the past few months, Faye Technologies had shown astounding growth and development.
Gary was bewildered. “You had conflicts with them?”
That was his first time hearing about it.
Zach could not bring himself to tell Gary what exactly happened. He felt that he would probably receive corporal punishment if Gary were to find out that he had gotten into several arguments with ady.
“It’s nothing. I’ll try my best to secure the license first.” Zach ended the call. With one hand on the desk, he had a rather troubled expression on his face.
They would be seeing a huge change in the industry soon. This time, Zach had no choice but to secure the opportunity to coborate with Faye Technologies no matter what.
The Veyo Solutions team had also received the news. Nancy was informed about it right after she had finished having a meeting.
She stood rooted to the spot. It took her quite a while to try toe to terms with the fact that Faye Technologies had just created a new flight control system with various amazing upgrades.
For a moment, Nancy looked dazed.
What Faye Technologies just achieved went way beyond her expectations. They could literally decide apany’s fate now.
The other techpanies would have to create a flight control systemparable to the one Faye Technologies had just introduced in the shortest time possible. Otherwise, they would eventually lose out in the market.
Nancy was also well aware of the fact that Faye Technologies had gone way ahead of all theirpetitors by at least five years simply by owning the patent to the new flight control system.
The Veyo Solutions team had suddenly found themselves driven into a corner.
Nancy’s expression hardened.
In just several days, Nancy lost the opportunity to be Carlos‘ student to Ariel, and Faye Technologies had beaten Veyo Solutions by creating a revolutionary patented technology.
Veyo Solutions ultimately became one of the manypanies that had to pay Faye Technologies a substantial sum of money to secure the patent license or risk falling behind itspetitors.
Suddenly, Veyo Solutions was no longer apany that those in Faye Technologies would see as their rival. Instead, they were in a vulnerable position, whereby they would have to beg the Faye Technologies team for the patent license just to secure their position in the industry.
This was not something Nancy had hoped to see.
She took a deep breath, calmed herself down, and entered her office. After a few moments‘ consideration, she decided to call Jayson.
When the line got through, Nancy pursed her lips. “Jayson, you’ve heard the news regarding Faye Tech, right?”
“I have.”
“Can you give me some suggestions on what to do? I’m feeling a bit lost right now.” Nancy’s tone softened. She found it really hard to make a decision considering their current circumstances.
Jayson replied frankly and unhurriedly, “The situation ispletely different this time aspared to when you’repeting with them for the other projects previously. Faye Tech possessed a new, cutting–edge technology that could shake up the industry.
“If no one cane up with a system simr to or on par with the one Faye Tech hasunched, you’ll only have one option. You’ll need to swallow your pride and pay the Faye Tech team a visit.”
Nancy tightened her fist.
In other words, she would have to visit Faye Technologies‘ office and beg them for their help.
