Inside 293

Ariel quite liked the bouquet of tulips.

Back when she was managing the household, Ariel often visited the florist to get some fresh flowers and arrange them in a vase. She liked how the flowers could help elevate the mood and make the house look a lot brighter.

They had chosen to throw the party at a high–end resort vi, and the management team here was even thoughtful enough to give them flowers to congratte them on their sess.

Ariel entered the hall with the flowers in her arms. She swiftly spotted Chad and Janice.

The two of them waved at her.

When Ariel walked over to where they were, Janice looked at the flowers she was holding in awe. “These flowers are so lovely! Who gave these to you?”

Ariel scanned her surroundings but couldn’t find Perry anywhere. She replied, “The resort vi’s management team prepared these. Didn’t you guys get them as well?”

Janice immediately expressed her dissatisfaction. “Are the staff here doing their work properly? How could they forget about the rest of us?”

Chad looked a little confused as he gently brushed his fingers against the flower petals. “The flowers that they’ve used today to decorate the hall are lilies. Howe the flowers you have are tulips?”

Ariel couldn’t figure out the reason either. Anyway, she didn’t think much of it, as it was just a simple gesture from the resort vi’s management team.

Chad didn’t try to press for more details about the bouquet either. Today was a happy asion for the Faye Technologies team. He raised his phone. “Let’s take a photo together so that I can share it on my Instagramter.”

Janice moved closer toward Ariel and threw her arms around thetter. Then, she grinned broadly at the camera.

After they had taken the photo, Ariel ced the bouquet on the table.

In the distance, Matt saw pretty much everything that had happened, starting from the moment Ariel showed up here with the bouquet.

He sounded surprised. “Howe Ariel showed up here with a bouquet? Did she receive it from an admirer?”

Matt wondered if it was Chad who had given Ariel the bouquet.

Beside him, Jayson leaned back against the couch in a rxed manner. He saw that moment earlier as well.

Ariel was in a pretty good mood when she came in with the flowers in her arms. It seemed like she liked the bouquet a lot.

Upon hearing Matt’s words, Jayson barely reacted. He merely tapped on the armrest with his finger in a steady rhythm.

He lifted his gaze and nced in Ariel’s direction. Then, Jayson looked away. He didn’t seem bothered by what had happened.

Matt appeared to have recalled something as he suddenly let out a chuckle.

“Judging by some of the things Ariel did in the past, could she have prepared those flowers herself? Perhaps she’s trying to catch your attention and show you there are men trying to pursue her now that the two of you have separated.”

Sometimes, Matt would think about how he and Jayson’s frends probably wouldn’t treat Ariel with so much scorn if she hadn’t gotten the reporters to take the intimate photos of her and Jayson just to make Jayson marry her.

Jayson gave him a sidelong nce. “You’re pretty cut out to be a screenwriter.”

Matt could tell right away that Jayson was mocking him.

“What are you guys talking about?” When Nancy got there, she sat down beside Jayson as if it was the most natural thing to do.

Matt scratched the tip of his nose. “It’s nothing. We were just chatting.”

Matt, Perry, and Nancy were not the workers or employees of Nexura Solutions.

There would be a lot of people attending the party. However, Nancy said Jayson might seem a bit lonely being here all by himself. She decided prettyst–minute–around an hour ago–toe and keep Jaysonpany.

Meanwhile, Chad shared the photo on his Instagram. He noticed fairly quickly that quite a few people liked his photo. Samson was among those people who did.

Chad turned his gaze to Ariel. “Samson Pryce seems like a pretty nice guy. He pressed like for almost everything that I shared recently.”

Ariel thought about it for a moment. “How much do you know about Samson Pryce? He’s being so friendly to you. He even invited you to the tech seminar. Could he be up to something? You need to be wary of him moving forward.”

They woulde across all kinds of people in the business circle. It wouldn’t harm them to stay a bit more cautious.

Chad nodded in agreement. “You have a point.”

Some timeter, Tom and his colleagues from Nexura Solutions arrived as well. Both the Faye Technologies team and the Nexura Solutions team were relieved now that the project waspleted.

While Chad was chatting with Tom and the others, Ariel left to get a ss of soda water.

She noticed thebels listed the vors for each drink. Most were non–alcoholic, so she didn’t have to worry about avoiding anything with alcohol.

She was very satisfied with this arrangement.

When she came back, Ariel could hear Janice grumbling, “Why are there only juice and soft drinks? Did they not prepare any liquor for today’s party?”

Tom overheard her mumbling. He turned around and exined, “There’s a reason for this. Ms. Stanton has been so busy handling work at the newpany that her health has deteriorated.

“Therefore, she’s been taking some herbal medicine to restore her health. Mr. Larkin has instructed the resort vi’s management team in advance to serve non–alcoholic drinks only.”
