The storm had finally passed, and that night, everyone could get a good night’s sleep. No matter how smart Landen was,

he was still just a kid.

After being kidnapped by his psycho dad, he stuck to Ka and Tuff like glue. In the end, the three slept together.

Landen slept right in the middle. With his mom on his left and dad on the right, he had never felt safer.

Kay on her side, watching Landen’s face, and was reluctant to fall asleep. “Honey, why aren’t you sleeping?” Tuff stretched out his leg and nudged her calf with his toe.

“I can’t bear to sleep; I want to savor this happiness,” Ka said, kicking his leg away and shooting him a re.

‘Our son is right here. What’re you trying to do?‘ she thought.

“I don’t mean that,” Tuff exined. “I just want to snuggle up to you.”

In fact, he had wanted to hold her to sleep. The past few days had been rough, and he hadn’t been sleeping well for several days.

Especially today, after all the chaos at Edith’s wedding. He couldn’t even remember how many fights he had gotten into. He waspletely exhausted.

“Get some rest. I’ll make it up to you some other days,” Ka whispered.

Tuff was truly sleepy, and his eyes slowly closed. Ka nced at him, then at Landen, feeling like she was in a dream of happiness. She just hoped no one would evere along to shatter this happiness.

Meanwhile, at the Zuckerberg family home, Daniel and Edith exchanged awkward nces. It was supposed to be their wedding night, but all they could do was look at each other, and nothing they could do.

Daniel could barely hold it in anymore: He leaned in and pleaded softly, “Edith, just once, okay? I’ll be gentle.”

“But I’m scared…” Edith said. She wanted it too, but was worried about hurting the baby. Sometimes she wondered if making him hold back like this all the time would drive him crazy.

“I’ll just stay outside, okay?” Daniel asked, trying to find a middle ground.

Edith blushed and hid her face behind her hands. “Okay…” she whispered, barely able to look at him.

‘He isn’t usually like this, he’s probably just too excited today!‘ Edith thought.

“Edith, do you know what was on my mind when I was out there dealing with all that chaos?” Daniel asked.

    “What was it?” Edith asked,

“It was you and our baby,” Danie) said.

Joanna and cloned Porter wanted to spend their lives together, but the Mystic Sect was a hidden threat. Daniel worried that if things dragged on, Joanna, who had finally turned her life around, might be forced by Jonny to hurt them again.

“Hubby, I wasn’t thinking about anything!” Edithughed, looping her arms around his neck, and said. “I was just resting in the lounge, eating fruits, and taking it easy. I knew you’d make it through.”

“Of course,” Daniel said with a sheepish smile.

No one was confident about today’s incident. Even Landon was injured. If Night Owl hadn’t shown up just in time, Landon would have been bleeding out on the floor.

Monroe had shifted all his hatred for Landon onto Jonny, and that guy had gone absolutely nuts trying to kill Landon.

‘I hope Aiden could catch that lunatic soon, or else this nightmare would never end,‘ he thought.

Emerging victorious against all odds; that was why he was especially excited tonight.

“Hubby, did Joanna bring the clone over?” Edith asked.

    “Yes,” Daniel replied.

“Where’s the clone now?” Edith pressed. She was curious. ‘Is the clone identical to the original?‘ she wondered.

“We couldn’t have made it without him today,” Daniel said, his mind drifting back to that moment at the hotel when he firstid eyes on cloned Porter.

Both of them were extremely shocked. The cloned Porter wasn’t only identical but also much younger than his father and possessed impressivebat skills.

“So, what’s your n now?” Edith asked, worry flickering in her eyes.

“I’ve already talked to Joanna. We’ll take them to Project Azureveil tomorrow. We’ll do whatever needs to be done, and once it’s over, we’ll let them go safely.”

Edith’s eyes curved with relief as she smiled. ‘It’s a win–win for all if everyone’s happy to cooperate,‘ she thought.

“Honey, have you finished talking?” Daniel asked. Only then did Edith realize Daniel had somehow ended up between her legs at some point. Her cheeks blushed, and her heart was racing with anticipation.

Edith was at a loss for words. ‘We’ve been off–topic for so long, and he still didn’t get distracted. He’s seriously on a

    mission tonight,’ she thought.

Daniel really did put in effort on their wedding night. Just as they were about to turn off the lights and call it a night, there was a knock at the door.

“Daniel, Lennon dropped off some medicine. He said it’s the same stuff Edith took before. I left it by the door;e and grab it,” Maisie said.

Both Daniel and Edith were speechless. ‘It’s so timely! If it were even a minute earlier, we wouldn’t have finished yet,‘ both of them thought.

“The lights…” Edith whispered, reminding shyly. ‘What a careless mistake! Should’ve just left the lights on all night,‘ she thought.

Daniel put on a robe, opened the door, and picked up the medicine. He thought, ‘Good thing we spent some time chatting in bed. It helped stretch out a bit.‘

The ck pills gave off a pleasant, soothing scent. Edith took one and fell asleep at ease.

Daniel was feeling frustrated. ‘I didn’t even get that far, and Lennon dropped off the medicines. Does he think I’m some

kind of beast or what?‘ he grumbled to himself. ‘

Downstairs, Maisie hosted Lennon. “Lennon, thanks for delivering the medicine at this hour. Help yourself with a drink,”

    Maisie said.

“Thanks, Maisie,” Lennon replied with a smile and took the ss.

Maisie froze. ‘Wow, you sound so cringy! You’ve never been this mushy with me before,‘ Maisie thought to herself.

‘Wow, that’s so cringy! He’s never been like this before,‘ Maisie thought to herself.

“Maisie, I should go now and let you rest,” Lennon said, just taking a sip of water before setting the ss down.

Maisie said, “If you’re not in a hurry, I’ll treat you to supper. You brought such a generous gift today, but didn’t even get to enjoy the wedding feast.”

“It sounds great!” Lennon replied with a grin.

Maisie quickly changed and stepped out, only to realize there was no car in sight. She asked in surprise, “Where’s your

    ride?”

“It’s left,” Lennon replied, shing a bright, toothy grin. The night breeze messed up his bangs, making him look so adorably handsome.

“Let’s just take my car!” Maisie offered, heading to drive her car.

Lennon waved toward the distance, and a momentter, headlights flicked on over there before the car drove away into

    the distance.

By the time Maisie pulled her car over, that mysterious car hadpletely vanished.

“Lennon, get in,” Maisie called out.

    “Alright,” Lennon responded.

Lunova’s nightlife was still bustling even in the early hours. Maisie took Lennon to an upscale spot and ordered plenty of grilled skewers.

Lennon was totally into it, and before they left, he even asked for takeout. Maisie couldn’t help butugh. “Lennon, is this your first time in Lunova?” she asked.

“Yeah, I really like the food here,” Lennon replied.

“You shoulde back more often,” Maisie said, retrieving her WhatsApp QR code. “Let’s add each other’s contacts. Moving on, when you’re in town, I’ll pick you up. And all my restaurants will give you free meals.”

    “It sounds great!” Lennon replied.

Poised and confident, he added her contact on WhatsApp and ordered some grilled skewers to go. However, when it was time to part ways, Lennon refused Maisie’s offer to send him. “Maisie, I can grab a cab myself,” he said.

“Come on, let me send you,” Maisie insisted.

    “There’s no need.” Lennon refused.

“I must send you back,” Maisie shot back.

Maisie was as stubborn as Joanna. Once she dug her heels in, nobody could talk her out of it. In the end, Lennon just went along with her.

When they reached Serenity Gardens, Maisie frowned and asked, “Hey, this is a residential area. Lennon, are you sure this is the right ce?”

“I’m staying at a rtive’s ce,” Lennon said.

“I see,” Maisie replied, her eyes clouded with a touch of nostalgia, “My family had rtives here, too, but that was long

    ago.”

As if he didn’t hear her, Lennon grabbed his takeout and got out of the car. “See you, Maisie!” he said.
