Chapter 237
“Yes,” Ka nodded, her face pale.
She looked like she was at her limit, only staying on her feet through sheer willpower.
Thinking about her condition….
Amelia hurried over to steady her. “Sis, when did you start remembering?”
“A year ago,” Ka replied.
“So, what exactly do you remember?” Amelia asked.
Landon gripped his phone tightly, wanting to know if Aiden’s story was true.
He hoped it wasn’t…
No woman ever wants to be abused by her husband!
“Everything my brother said is true,” Ka said.
She still couldn’t help but see Aiden as her little brother.
As her real brother, Landon couldn’t help but feel a bitter taste in his heart.
“Aiden isn’t exactly a good guy, but he treated me well,” Ka said with a faint smile. “If it hadn’t been for him, I probably wouldn’t be here today.”
“Sis, I’m sorry… We should’ve found you sooner,” Amelia said, ncing at Landon and apologizing for both of them.
Landon cursed bitterly, “It’s all Tuff’s fault!”
“Huh?” Ka looked surprised.

‘What does Tuff have to do with this? That guy’s actually pretty nice and really capable–he’s one of the top elites in the Flying Tiger Sect, Ka thought.
From what she’d heard, he’d been helping to look for her all along./
“If it weren’t for him back then, I would’ve brought you home ages ago,” Landon growled through clenched teeth.
If that had happened, Ka never would’ve had to suffer under Jonny!
‘Tuff, this isn’t over between us!‘ he thought
“Really?” Ka frowned. “He stopped you from finding me? That doesn’t sound right…”
“When we took down the Limitless Sect, you were injured and lying in a pool of blood. He was the first to find you, but he didn’t get you out right away…”
As Landon thought back to that day, the bitterness in his heart only deepened.
“And then what?” Ka pressed.
“By the time I got there, you were already gone,” Landon said.
“Oh!” Ka rxed her frown and said casually, “Well, you can’t put all the me on him. I didn’t remember any of you, so of course I would have tried to save myself first if things got dangerous.
Landon still couldn’t let it go. “But if he had gotten you out first…”

“Landon, there aren’t so many ‘what ifs‘ in life,” Ka said earnestly. “It’s obvious Tuff sees you as a brother. Don’t hold a grudge against him over this.”
Seeing his dear sister take someone else’s side, Landon couldn’t help but feel sour inside. “If he hadn’t hesitated, you never would’ve ended up with the Kington Gang.”
“It’s all fate,” Ka said.
She smiled and brushed her long hair back, clearly not caring about the past at all.
After all, she didn’t remember any of it.
Just being back with the Kingsley family was enough for her.
Landon scratched his head gloomily.
Either way, he just couldn’t let go of what Tuff did!
Suddenly, Amelia realized something didn’t add up.
She knitted her delicate brows and asked, “Sis, when you were undercover, did it never cross your mind toe home? Or was there something that forced you to stay away and not contact the family?”
“Spy?” Ka lookedpletely stunned, pointing at herself. “I was actually a spy?”
“Yes,” Landon replied.
Landon took a deep breath and started telling her about the whole spy mess with the Limitless Sect.
Ka looked even more lost. “So you’re telling me, after I was kidnapped, I ended up with the Limitless Sect, the leaders took me in as their own, and raised me to be a spy?”
“Yes,” Landon replied.
The more Landon thought about it, the more it just didn’t make sense.
‘Ka only had that memory–blocking chip put in after Aiden died. So why didn’t she ever try toe home when she was with the Limitless Sect?
‘She was already seven years old back then–there’s no way she could’ve forgotten who she was at that age.‘
“I don’t remember,” Ka said, shaking her head.
She couldn’t remember anything from when she was seven until she turned twenty.
If they hadn’t brought up the Limitless Sect, she never would’ve even known she’d been trained as a spy.
She’d even been puzzled about how she’d gotten so good at fighting.
“Just forget it all, okay?” Amelia said softly, hugging Ka with a heart full of sympathy. “Even everything that happened with the Kington Gang–Let’s
just let it go.”
Ka pressed her lips together.
‘No, I could never forget every single day and night of being tormented by that bastard, Jonny,‘ she thought.
‘I would have her revenge!‘ she swore to herself.
‘I am going to dig up Jonny’s grave, grind his bones to dust, and scatter them to the wind!‘ she vowed fiercely.
Just then, Ka’s phone rang. Landen’s voice came through, crying, “Mommy…”

“Landen?” Ka asked.
With just a nce from Ka, Landon immediately started tracking Landen’s location.
“Mommy, I don’t feel good. Can youe get me?” Landen’s voice was full of tears, sounding so pitiful.
Not just Ka, even Amelia felt her heart ache at the sound.
“Landen, what’s wrong?” Ka asked.
“He’s sick,” came a stern,manding voice.
The authoritative tone of Eddie made Ka instinctively shudder.
Landon quickly grabbed her hand, giving her strength.
Ka took a deep breath and asked, “Dad, does Landen have a fever?”
“It’s a blood disease. He needs your bone marrow to survive. You need toe back right away,” Eddie said.
Landon almostughed out loud, mouthing to Ka, “He’s lying.”
“Dad, Landen is your grandson. How you treat him is your family’s business. Don’t ever ask me about this again,” Ka said coldly.
Her ruthlessness caught everyone off guard.
Amelia and Landon looked at each other, their hearts aching with both shock and sympathy.
Eddie, however, wasn’t fazed at all. His tone was as authoritative as ever. “You’ve gotten your memories back, haven’t you?”
“Yes,” Ka replied.
“How long have you remembered?” Eddie asked.
“All of them,” Ka replied.
“Then you should remember, it was Jonny who saved your life. A debt like that–you should spend your whole life repaying it!” Eddie said.
His words made Landon let out a bitter, sarcasticugh, and he reached out, wanting to grab the phone and say something.
But Ka dodged his hand and shook her head at him.
She turned back to Eddie and said, “Two years of abuse and seven years locked away–whatever debt I owed is long gone.”
“That’s just how Jonny was–how can you still hold it against him? He loved you so much,” Eddie insisted.
Ka’s voice shot up, sharp as a knife. “So abusing me is just in his blood? The Kyle family really breeds some top–tier psychos–raising a freak even worse than an anima!!”
Eddie snapped, “Don’t you dare insult Jonny!”
“Eddie, I’m nevering back, so just give up! As for Landen, do whatever you want–I don’t care anymore!” Ka said coldly.
With that, she hung up, not giving him a chance to say another word.
But the way her body trembled still betrayed just how anxious and fragile she really was.
No matter what, Landen was still the child she had carried for ten months–her own flesh and blood.

Because of Landen, those five years of virtual imprisonment weren’t quite so unbearable.
As the years went by, she could hardly see the shadow of Jonny in Landen anymore.
She might not love him, but she couldn’t just stand by and do nothing.
Her ruthlessness today was all for Landen–every hard decision she made was for his sake.
“Sis…” Amelia called out softly.
“It doesn’t matter to me,” Ka said, her voice steady.
She lifted her chin, her phone ringing again–it was Eddie calling back,
She was about to hang up when Landon snatched the phone from her.
“If that chip isn’t taken out, she’s got maybe half a year left at best. Ka, I really hope you’ll think this over,” Eddie said, his anger barely contained.
“Think what over?” Landon shot back.
Eddie was clearly stunned for a second, then sneered arrogantly. “Hand over Aiden, and swear the Flying Tiger Sect will never mess with the Kington Gang again–do that, and I’ll make sure your sister gets the treatment she needs.”
