Chapter 433 Moving In
Halbert hadn’t expected Tristan to throw him under the bus like that.
“Tristan, you
“I told the staff to pack up your things so you could move into Nn’s house. Since you like him, I’ve decided to support your engagement to the Hayes family.”
Halbert’s face turned stormy in an instant.
“Tristan, do you even hear yourself? How could Nn possibly be good enough for our family?”
What was so great about that man anyway? Aside from his face, Nn was nothing but danger incarnate someone Eliza should be staying far away from.
“Eliza likes him, and that’s reason enough for me.”
Tristan had never tried to control Eliza’s choices. If she wanted it, he would back her all the way.
“Tristan!” Halbert tried to argue.
But the line went dead. Tristan had hung up before he could get another word in.
Eliza, standing nearby, smirked as she handed the phone back. “Well, Halbert? Looks like you’ll have to ept it.”
Though fuming, Halbert couldn’t say a word – not with Tristan having made the call. He could only re at Eliza viciously.
“You little brat. Just you wait!”
But Eliza wasn’t the least bit fazed. With Tristan backing her, she had nothing to worry about.
Grinning from ear to ear, she turned to leave the apartment.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Halbert growled.
“To Nn’s, obviously. Why would I stick around here?”
She batted hershes innocently.
Halbert’s expression darkened. He barked at the bodyguards, “Stop her. Don’t let her go running around!”
The bodyguards hesitated, scratching their heads. If this had been before that phone call to Tristan, maybe they would’ve listened.
But now? After Tristan himself said to support Eliza?
They weren’t about to get in her way.
Seeing even his men disobey, Halbert seethed with frustration.
Eliza gave him a smug look. “Just hold down the fort while I’m gone, will you? Let me know when the packing’s done.”

And with that, she walked off without a nce back.
Halbert clenched the ss in his hand so hard it nearly shattered.
Everyone nearby stepped back cautiously. He looked ready to explode.
Eliza hummed a happy tune as she stepped outside.
Right on cue, a sleek car pulled up beside her. The driver stepped out and greeted her politely.
“Ms. Sue, Mr. Tristan asked me toe pick you up personally.”
“To take me to Nn’s ce?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
The driver opened the door for her.
From the upstairs window, Halbert watched in disbelief as she actually got into the car.
His face twisted with rage.
“Sir… please don’t be angry…”

“Don’t be angry?” Halbert jabbed a finger toward the street. “She’s in the car already! I can’t believe Tristan would just give in to her like this! What’s so bad about marrying into the Foster family? Why does he always have to indulge that spoiled brat?”
There was nothing more he could do. Furious and helpless, he mmed his hand against the ss.
At the Hayes residence, Eliza directed the movers to the second–floor bedroom.
Nn watched her from the living room, clearly confused.
“Who are they…?”
He hadn’t been informed anyone wasing. But judging from their actions, it looked like Eliza was moving in.
“They’re helping me move,” she said casually. “Don’t worry, Tristan approved it. He told me to follow my heart and since I like you, he supports me living here.”
–
A small, stunned smile crept across Nn’s face.
The movers finished setting things up and came downstairs.
“Thank you all,” Eliza said cheerfully. “You can head back now.”
“Yes, Ms. Sue.”
Once they left, she turned to Nn. “I probably should’ve warned you before moving in, huh?”

“If you want to live here, then this is your home. Stay as long as you like. And if this ce isn’t good enough. I’ll find you something better. Whatever makes you happy.”
Nn’s gaze was soft, his voice sincere.
Eliza was struck by the contrast. When she’d first met Nn, he had been cold, distant like no one could get close.
But now, here he was, warm and tender.
Noticing her staring, Nn asked, “What is it? Why are you looking at me like that?”
