Novel Male 705

    Third Person’s POV

Adide followed a group of noble she wolves to pay their respects to Luna rissa.

The Lunas were gathered together, Prisci among them, excitedly showing off her new manicure.

When she–wolves get together, it’s usually a mix of mutual ttery and a low–key arms race over who looks the best.

Lycan Erasmus’s breeders were all in attendance.

Adide’s head was spinning; she could only put names to Tracy, Grace, and Deborah. As for the other lower–ranking mates or breeders, she couldn’t ce them at all.

Lycan Luna Cami’s son was the Crown Prince, a wolf cub of pure royal blood.

Despite his young age, the boy looked remarkably mature, and his stride was a carbon copy of Lycan Erasmus’s own walk.

Tracy had two cubs, a male wolf and a she–wolf. An omega brought the cubs over for rissa to peek at before quickly whisking them away.

The little Princess was adorable, with her golden curls tied up into two neat little buns.

Grace also had a daughter, the First Princess, who was three months older than Tracy’s girl.

Deborah had a son, the Second Prince, who was only two years old.

The Second Prince was endearingly chubby and waddled when he ran, looking like a tiny penguin.

rissa adored the boy. She held him, showering him with affection for a moment before turning to Adide.

“Adide,e hold him. Get some of this baby energy–maybe the Moon Goddess will grant you a strong cub of your own next year.”

Adide looked at the plump little cub and reached out with a smile.

“Hey, little guy. Can I hold you?”

The boy hesitated, looking back at his mother, Deborah.

Deborah gave a polished smile. “Go on, that pretty auntie will be nice to you.”

He finally opened his arms and tumbled into Adide’s embrace.

As she lifted the child, Adide caught rissa’s eye; though she was smiling warmly, her eyes were stone- cold.

Adide held the Second Prince for a minute before setting him down, offering a polepliment.

“The Second Prince is absolutely charming.

Deborah smiled, her eyes carrying a subtle edge. “I hope you’ll be able to produce an heir for the ckthorn Pack just as quickly.”

Even though Adide had zero desire to have a cub right now, she just smiled and thanked her.

Lycan Erasmus had been on the throne for five years. While some councilors had brought up the issue of a formal session, there wasn’t much pressure, and the matter had been tabled.

However, since Lycan Luna Cami had a male cub with high Lycan potential, he was the uncontested frontrunner for the throne.

rissa was incredibly affectionate with her grandchildren, but Adide could sense a wall between her and Erasmus’s females. She wasn’t even close with Lycan Luna; in fact, she clearly favored Adide.

Just then, Margot made her grand entrance.

As rissa’s only biological daughter, she was the center of attention.

She was wearing a floor–length pomegranate–red velvet gown and a pure white fox–fur cape. Her aura was undeniable.

Yvette couldn’t help but tease her. “You’re thest one here every single year. Did you really spend half the day getting ready just to show the rest of us up?”

Margot gave her a yful, shy re. “I did not! Say that again and I’ll smack you!”

Yvette was Iris’s daughter, and she had her mother’s blunt personality. She turned to rissa and pouted.

“Luna rissa, Margot’s being mean to me!”

rissa let out a rare, genuineugh.

“Well, you started it. I can’t help you this time.”

The noblewomen in the hallughed along. The atmosphere felt lighter this year, less “stab–in–the–back” than usual.

It probably helped that Madison and Wanda weren’t there to poison the air.

Margot, proud as a peacock, beckoned the Crown Prince over and gave him a yful smack on the rear.

“Hey, little wolf! Where’s my greeting?”

The Crown Prince frowned for a split second but managed a forced smile.

Lycan Luna Cami looked down at her tea, her expression neutral, but Adide caught the sh of irritation in her eyes.

She clearly wasn’t a fan of the gesture.

The banquet rolled on in the gilded hall, the air thick with the scent of expensive wine and roasted meats.

Alpha Germain arrived with his Luna and several breeders.

He paid his respects to Lycan Erasmus before working the room with his drink in hand like a pro.

As for the Silverlight Pack, only Luna Skye showed up. Word was that Alpha Howell had fallen seriously ill in December and was home resting,

rissa offered some polite concern and ordered some high–grade tonics to be sent to him as a gift.

Being the biggest event of the year, the food was over–the–top.

Lance and Adide sat side–by–side. Lance meticulously used his silver knife to cut the venison into perfect bite–sized pieces, picking out the best cuts for Adide.

The side dishes she didn’t like? He just swept them onto his own te and finished them himself.

Seeing this, Cami let out a softugh.

“The chemistry between Lance and Adide is really something. You can smell the scent of the mating bond from across the table.”

Ansley and his mate looked up, thinking she was talking about them, but when they saw Cami’s eyes locked onto Lance and Adide, they shared an awkward nce.

Lycan Erasmus didn’t say a word, but as he raised his ss, he shot Cami a cold, warning look.
