Adide curtsied, following the werewolf custom. As she stood up, she felt the nd on the back of her neck tingling.
Lycan Erasmus’s aura hadn’t been intentionally aimed at her, but it still made her wolf curl and whimper in her mind.
up
This job, facing the king, was more mentally draining than fighting on the Southern Border.
The evening breeze carried the unique scent of ambergris from the pce. Adide wrapped her cloak tighter, reying Lycan Erasmus’s expression in her mind.
The disappointment in his eyes meant he was hoping Prune had found a lead on Germain.
But the relief was clearly his fear of the Warscar Training Camp’s strength.
If Prune’s intelligence–gathering ability was proven to be too powerful, it would expose how much power Warscar Training had.
Once Lycan Erasmus got spooked, the Frostfang Pack and the Warscar Training Camp would be living under an invisible shadow.
A half–inch of silver–blue wolf w appeared at her fingertips, then quickly retracted. She couldn’t let his fear take root.
Adide had only taken a few steps out of the study when she was stopped by Anya, an omega of Cami.
Anya smiled and bowed slightly. “Luna Adide, it’s been a while.”
Adide smiled back. “What is it?”
“It’s nothing serious. Lycan Luna Cami said it’s been a long time since she’s seen you and wanted to invite you for a cup of coffee.”
Adide was really thirsty, but she knew that a sudden invitation from the Lycan Luna probably meant trouble.
Could she refuse? Seeing the “you can’t refuse” look on Anya’s face, Adide knew she had no
choice.
She smiled. “Please lead the way.”

“This way.” Anya smiled, put her hands together in front of her, and bowed slightly before walking ahead.
It was a bit of a walk from the royal study to Cami’s East Tower vi.
Luckily, it was a nice night. The wind wasn’t too strong, and it helped clear some of the stifling pressure she had felt in the study.
Adide’s tense nerves rxed a little.
Even though Cami had never been particrly friendly, dealing with her was a lot easier than dealing with Lycan Erasmus’s intimidating presence.
When they arrived at the East Tower vi, Anya led Adide inside.
As soon as she walked in, Adide saw a man in a nice suit stand up and greet her.
She recognized him. He was Cami’s brother, Heath.
He was a high–ranking political official, someone Lycan Erasmus immediately gave a lot of power to and trustedpletely.
Adide first bowed to Cami. “Hello, Lycan Luna Cami.”
“Hello, Adide.” Cami sat regally in her chair, her voice calm and distant.
Heath also bowed slightly to Adide. “Gamma Adide.”
Adide returned the bow. “Mr. Wall.”
“Have a seat,” Cami said.
Adide thanked her and sat in a chair on the left. Heath sat across from her.
As soon as she sat down, Heath immediately asked, “Gamma Adide, there’s something I need to ask you. Please be sure to answer honestly.”
Adide was so thirsty. She first turned to Cami. “I’m a bit thirsty. Can I have a cup of coffee first?”
“Of course.” Cami immediately told an omega to get it.
While she waited for the coffee, Adide looked at Heath. “What do you want to ask me, Mr.
Wall?”

“Today, Lance went to our pack,” Heath said, pausing. It was a difficult subject, but he had to get
it out.
He swallowed his embarrassment and looked at Adide. “When Lance went, he said that Alpha Stanley had a lover outside, and that she was a she–wolf from Madison’s manor. I want to ask you, Gamma Adide, did your investigation find this out? Where did you hear this?”
Adide was a little surprised.
She had discussed this with Lancest night. They had agreed to talk to Stanley alone. How did it end up being said in front of the whole Styxwarden Pack?
Lance was always a very discreet person. He should have given Stanley a little respect.
After all, the others they had investigated had openly kept the she–wolves as breeders, so it was fine to say it publicly. But Stanley was secretly keeping someone on the side, which was a different situation.
Adide asked back, “Are you saying that Lance said this in front of the other members of your pack?”
Heath looked very anxious. “Yes! Just tell me, where did this informatione from? Did you hear it from someone, or did you find it in your investigation?”
Adide didn’t know why a secret that was supposed to be only for Stanley was now known by the whole Styxwarden Pack, but she answered honestly. “This is something we found in our investigation. We didn’t hear it from anyone else.”
Heath asked excitedly, “In your investigation? How exactly did you find it?”
Adide replied, “I don’t think I need to go into the specific details of the investigation with you, Mr. Wall. Lycan Erasmus is the only one who needs to know.”
“So what’s your proof? You can’t provide any evidence or exin how you investigated it. I can’t believe you!” D
