Heath had initially believed Lance, but after thinking it through, he was starting to have doubts.

Adide was inexperienced in these matters and probably just believed some gossip.
The Styxwarden Pack had been doing well for years and was very influential, which naturally led to a lot of jealousy.
Rumors were always flying around. Maybe someone had made this up on purpose to nder them.
“Either way,” Heath said, “we have to find out where Adide got this information. Otherwise, our mother will be heartbroken, and our father’s reputation will be ruined.”
Cami had always been hostile towards Adide.
She remembered when Lycan Erasmus wanted Adide to be his New Moon Priestess.
She knewter that it was just a political move, but the intense look in his eyes when he looked at Adide had made her uneasy.
A she–wolf’s intuition told her that the way Lycan Erasmus valued and admired Adide was different from how he saw others.

She hadn’t had a chance to report on it, but he already knew. It was clear he had people secretly monitoring the Capital Guard’s investigation.
When Adide first entered his study, Lycan Erasmus said to her meaningfully, “Women tend to favor other women. There’s nothing wrong with helping women, but you must base it on facts. You can’t be partial.”
Adide exined again that the she–wolves had been through a lot with Madison and were just pawns.
She hoped they could be handled with some leniency since most of them hadn’t actually carried out Madison’s orders.
Even if they weren’t punished, most of them would be kicked out of their packs.
The Capital Guard would find a ce for them and keep an eye on them until the treason case was closed.
As for the ones who weren’t exiled, their packs would be ordered to keep a close watch on them.
Lycan Erasmus thought it over and epted Adide’s proposal.
But he believed that Prima’s case still needed a full investigation.
He called in the Minister of Defense and Gamma Valens. He also had them bring the weapons confiscated from Madison’s manor topare them with the ones in the Ministry of Defense’s warehouse.

This news calmed Lycan Erasmus down a bit.
At least it proved one thing–Prima hadn’t lied. She hadn’t stolen the ballista blueprints, because the ballista and armor from Madison werepletely different from the Ministry of

Luckily, Lycan Erasmus hadn’t changed his mind about the she–wolves who were mixed up in all this. He fully agreed with Adide’s n to give them a ce <i>to </i>stay and monitor them.
After all, these she–wolves were manipted by Madison and didn’t cause any real harm.
This approach showed humanity and would earn him a reputation for being merciful.
As for Wilorina, who had thrown the Soulrend Pack into chaos, Lycan Erasmus had considered that, too.
In the end, it was Dwight who wasn’t careful enough.

Adide finally let out a sigh of relief.
